Yet another ultra-rich megalomaniac tries to buy a CA election and fails. Whitman blew nearly $150 MILLION of her own money yet couldn’t beat pauperish Jerry Brown. I’m not enamored of Brown, but when you consider the alternative to him (Meg Whitman) and Barbara Boxer (Carly Fiorina), case closed.

Brown's campaign spent about $60 million. It is unfortunate that the $200 million spent by the 2 campaigns was not used to pay down California's debt. It is also unfortunate that we Californians elected the candidate who will perpetuate the policies that have driven businesses out of the state while making state employees very happy.
You are correct that we had one choice for governor who was less bad than Meg - Dale Ogden - the Libertarian candidate. Unfortunately, he only got 1.5% of the vote.
