The Lyrics

I heard a short piece on the radio, about a monkey somewhere who escaped out of confinement by watching his trainer every day, working the lock, til the monkey did it himself.....This is written as though the monkey is reading the trainer's mind, for the first two verses. After the first chorus, the monkey is in "first person".
Your problem's you're inside a cage, he said to me
The answer's easy if you closely study me
Cause I'm the one who comes each day to turn the key
There must be fifty ways to flee your master

He said I know you never get enough good food
Furthermore, those monkey handlers, they can often be so rude
So I'll repeat this trick, cause you are quite a brainy dude
There must be fifty ways to flee your master

Chorus:
Just flip up the latch, Hatch
Study the lock, Jock
you don't need to be glum, Chum
Just look close at me
Don't make a fuss, Gus
You don't need to exert, much
Just twist on the key, Lee
And set yourself free!

I thought, it pleases me to study you so much
maybe I'll get some good bananas I can munch
So I watched him like a hawk, now please let me explain
About the many ways...

I said hey, why don't I just flee from here tonight
And I believe in the morning I will see sweet freedom's light
And then I did it--primate intelligence is tight
Cause there are fifty ways to flee your master
Fifty ways to flee your master

(Repeat Chorus)

V.good Royce. I'd have liked to see the chorus varied for the repeat, coz that's always the best part of parodying this OS. Minor gripe aside, 555

Agree with Kristof about chorus repeats - and alvin about the "sing-along-ability" - and 2nz about how catchy it was...Geez, I sure am agreeable today, aren't I? Nice job...5's - ~ ~ ~
