The Lyrics

I was looking for a lady
Who thought that Frodo's the man

And had worn-out collections
Of MARVEL's Spiderman

So while I was nose-picking
I surfed a lonely-hearts site

And in its personals column
I saw this wonderful sight:

If you like green "enchiladas",
and getting snot in your hair.
If you're hot into Yoda,
if mis-matched plaids you wear.
If you like rolling dice at midnight,
in a "Dune" sci-fi game.
I'm the lady you've looked for,
email me, and let's flame.

I didn't drink another Red Bull
I know that sounds kind of weird

But seeing that nerd-lady,
had made me wanna shave my pa-the-tic beard

So I logged-on that website,
got an account double-quick

And though I'm no Spock or Sarek,
I thought my logic was slick:

Yes, I like green "enchiladas",
and getting snot in my hair.
I'm so much into Yoda,
backwards talk do I dare.
I've got to meet you by live messaging,
my dungeon dragonly dame.
Join me now in the chat room,
where we'll L33T-speak and flame!

So I waited with high hopes
Then she logged-in for me

I blew her smiley-kiss symbols
She blew me virtually

Now she's my own nerdly lady
On our mousepad for two

And she makes me feel proud when
She says "I'm so glad that you --

-- like eating green "enchiladas",
and getting snot in your hair.
And our Star Trek conventions,
and the Spock-ears I wear.
And how you roll my dice at midnight,
as we role-play our game.
You're the dork that I've looked for --
log-in me, and let's flame!"

If you like green "enchiladas",
and getting snot in your hair.
If you're hot into Yoda,
if mis-matched plaids you wear.
If you like rolling dice at midnight,
in a "Dune" sci-fi game.
You're the dork that I've looked for --
log-in me, and let's flame!

Like this parody, I do. But hit close to home, it does. Call Arwen, perhaps I must, hm?

(SOTM) I'm nowhere nerdy enough to understand what a Green Enchilada is (maybe i don't wanna know?), but this was brilliant.
McKludge - May 10, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Yeah, why is enchilada in quotes? Ah, who cares, it's a great rhyme with pina colada. Set of 5s for you.

SOTM -If this is in any way based on a true story I might have to challenge you on a laser sword duel for this woman, meet me at 23:47 tomorrow and don't forget to wear something you'd feel comfortable to be resurrected in sometime in the future!

(SOTM) I thought that to 'flame' on the internet was some kind of huge argument. Wait, that's a 'flame war', most popular on TF Movie threads. Great work (again) JD!
Michael McVey - May 24, 2007 - Report this comment
This is almost as good as Star Trek!!!!!
stuart mcarthur - May 25, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) see above - and kudos just for the "green enchiladas" sub to pina colada JD, and the multilevel gag of "I'm so much into Yoda, backwards talk do I dare"
Jason - May 28, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) DKTOS but a great read.
Cat - May 29, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Er...I'm into nerds, but not snot! Great job anyway!
Below Average Dave - May 30, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Yeah, Cat made a good point, being a nerd has it's plus points--but snot? Well, honestly that added to the comedy.
Mikey Squirrel - May 30, 2007 - Report this comment
SOTM- So much green stuff in this one (enchiladas, Yoda, snot). Being a true nerd at heart, I really enjoyed this one. Great work, Johnny.

SOTM - An interesting parody, this is.
Red Ant - May 30, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Never heard TOS before now. Great matches throughout as always, and lots of funny lines like "And though I'm no Spock or Sarek,/I thought my logic was slick", "And how you roll my dice at midnight, as we role-play our game.", the "L337" mention as well as what Stu picked out. I have to say that I'm at a complete loss as to what "enchiladas" is a euphemism for; searching urbandictionary.com only left me with more questions. Never the less, solid work here, JD, 555.
Kristof Robertson - May 31, 2007 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Sorry I missed this first time around, JD. Stupendously funny stuff here, and your subs were genius. 555+

p.s. I've never had a green enchilada, but I HAVE chowed down on a furry fajita or two....

Now I know how the geeks on Freaks and Geeks would get their girls if that awesome show that shoulda lasted longer was set now. 5s
Ethan Mawyer - May 31, 2007 - Report this comment
I must not have read this carefully the first time I looked at this, because now that I read it for SOTM I see that this is great even by Johnny D standards. My favorite line, if I must pick, is backwards talk do I dare. I'm not into green enchiladas, but maybe because I never had one. But probably not.
