Here's a rewrite of the first parody I submitted to Amiright, comparing the Yankees to the Mets...what a difference two years makes!

No, you're not the Yankees. You'd have to win every World Series between now and 2029 just to catch up. Just kills you, doesn't it? That, and the fact that the Yankees still dominate the back pages of the Daily News and the Post. Don't worry, the shuffling you're gonna get at the hands of the Cards will put you back. Just remember: You're never "take over New York" until you beat the Yankees in a World Series. That'll happen as soon as George W. Bush admits a mistake.

QC, PMS: Thanks! Alvin: Sorry for your loss and thanks for being a good sport! John: If the Mets don't make it to the series, I'll probably root for the A's, too. Michael...doesn't bother me that the Yanks get front & back page coverage. Besides, my paper's front and back pages were hidden by a 20-page Mets wrap-around special. As for beating the Yanks in the Series, too bad the Yankees were eliminated so soon. Maybe next year--that would be a blast. Daniel-Thanks!
