I realize I'm overreacting, but consider this: the Netherlands are a democracy and we have a queen. It's like Sesame Street: trying to fit a square into a circle-shape. I'm basically blowing off steam here, and perhaps I exaggerate the royal family's extravagance and the money they use up, but I think they are pretty useless. Please comment on any grammatical errors or other inconsistencies or if it's too angry.

she isn't going to abandon

or otherwise her exploitation will not decline

badly dressed in silly hats

The last time the Netherlands had a government other than the current setup was 1944. You wouldn't want to go back to that. Keep making Dutch chocolate and millions of Americans will be happy to contribute to your country's economy.

LOL, Steve K! Yeah, Michael Pacholek, you're probably right. And after we were liberated, we immediately advanced upon our colony, the current Indonesia, to suppress the rebels that cried freedom. Stomach-turning detail, wouldn't ya say? Ahh, okay I did exaggerate on the queen, but I still don't see her value. There's a lot more wasting of money and energy to complain about, or DO something about it.
