Parody Song Title:

"I Want to Write a Parody"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

The Lyrics

You know you've finally become a parodist when you write your first meta-parody.
Parody! Parody! Parody!
I want to write a parody! Parody! Parody
I want to write a parody
I want to write some fun
I want to write a parody
And I am not the only one

Song says "black" and I say "white"
All-new words it's what I write
make it rhyme and check the pace
have a smile, happy face
But don't go writing libels:
Song says "A" and I say "B"
that's how write a parody
Be fun but not insulting
Lightish humour is most fun,
irony - or just a pun:
All I wanna do is

Parody! Parody! Parody!
I want to write a parody! Parody! Parody!
I want to write a parody
I want to write some fun
I want to write a parody
And I am not the only one

We who are writers here amiright
know what is humour and also its might
Both boys and girls do here today write
So check out for those new entries at sight!

Parody! Parody! Parody!
I want to write a parody! Parody! Parody
I want to write a parody
I want to write some fun
I want to write a parody
And I am not the only one

So pick a theme and a song
Write new verses all along
Find your way to have fun
Making even humour on
President of America
We will smile, if you say 'cheese'
Don't insult, just slightly tease
Just write it nice but straight:
If my country has gone wrong
- I tell about it on my song
'Cause all I wanna do is

Parody! Parody! Parody!
I want to write a parody! Parody! Parody
I want to write a parody
I want to write some fun
I want to write a parody
And I am not the only one

5s. but: "But don't go writing libels." I agree, for contributors and private individuals; horrible public figures, however: fair game, as far as I'm concerned.

Yup, I agree sleazeballs like Fred Phelps are free prey. Yet I believe slight irony and teasing work better than slandering and bashing. Ridiculizing someone is IMO more effective way to get your message through than insulting him/her.
