The Lyrics

Sorry if you don't agree, the middle bit just fits so well....*When The Wind Blows is a really scary film about the effects of a nuclear bomb.
This isn't real law,
It's just stupidity, Whitehouse Official,
You can't call this democracy,
Be self aware, Not so scared to look overseas.....
It's just the Third world (Third world),
It needs no military,
(just 'cos it's) Easy take, easy go, Easy to overthrow,
watching "When The Wind Blows"* Never really mattered to me..
to me.

Dubya.....I just killed a man...
That's the fourth I've shot today, at least he's out of the way...
Dubya....he had no self defence,
But he's foreign so I guess You'll say "Ok"....
Dubya.. (ooooh)..There's too much "friendly fire"..
I won't be back again this time tomorrow,
carry on, Carry on, because one man doesn't matter.

It's too late, My time has come.
"He's a statistic, not a man,", But you're as "evil" as Iran...
Goodbye everybody, no weapons left,
but the Brits will send me out without a gun......
Dubya....ooooh... I don't wanna die,
Why did you ever start this war at all?
(solo)

"I see no evidence of nuclear threat"
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, can you choke on a pretzel?
Sort your fact and fiction, buy yourself a diction-ry
(Colin Powell)Colin Powell! (Colin Powell)Colin Powell!
Colin Powell, Tony Blair
Saddam Husseeeeeein (harmony)
"I'm just a moron, nobody likes me"
(He's just a moron, from a rich family,
never done an honest days work in his life)
Easy job, Easy Life, Who put him in charge?
The Public?! NO! Who put this man in charge? (He's in charge?)
This yokel, Who put this man in charge? (he's in charge?)
Put this man in charge....(this idiiiiooooot?)

No No No No NO NO NO!
How can this be how can this be who put this idiot in charge?

He's not a leader, just a cretin with a presidency, money, MONEEEEEEY
(guitar riff)

So you think you can justify war with lies?
Just a racist with parents with powerful ties? Oooooh Dubya,
Can't do this to me Dubya, Just gotta get out, out of the presidency.

nothing really matters,
It's just a country,
Iraq doesn't matter,
Iran doesn't matter, to me.

Any way the Oil flows......

This song blows.

Angry words, perhaps a little too angry--the verse from the soldier's POV almost made me cry. Seriously (but doesn't make too much sense, since our military is voluntary...or maybe you have created the POV of a soldier with a crisis of conscience). I've seen "When The Wind Blows" --good flick with an excellent Roger Waters score, depressing, but see it if you can, folks. It's by Raymond Briggs, who made the wonderful animated film "The Snowman" as well. All in all, clever wording in places ("it's a fiction, get a diction-"), bad pacing in others. 445.

Just so-so. The pacing was the best of any Queen song spoof, but it's the same-old Bush bashing and anti-American sentiments. Just try to think of the pictures of four charred soldiers that gave their lives for our country, and tell us if this Iraqi war is worth it. I agree with the oil gouging Bush has done though.

How could I not like this one? Well done. (Again, a plug for the comments section - might have missed this if I hadn't seen "U.S.A."'s comments.) By the way, I'll have to check out "When the Wind Blows" - see "Dr. Strangelove" if you haven't.

"The pacing was the best of any Queen song spoof" Surely you jest.

constructive criticism's fair enough, i did apologise for the highly opinionated sentiment at the beginning so i'm sorry if i offended you. it's just generally the impression you get from the british media.

Awesome choice for a parody! I guess it's political unlike other rhapsodies on this website.

I thought it was excellent; a tiny bit off in places but lines like "Sort your fact and fiction, buy yourself a diction-ry" more than make up for it.
