The Lyrics

Buddy is a border collie who actually did leave his former home for reasons unknown to me. Buddy's adopted sister, Vega is the cat chaser in this parody. She is also a border collie barely over one year old.. Buffy (not her real name) is a little runt part Siamese cat who really never goes outside but her mother hangs around our house, has kittens and then tries to feed her family from what I give my outdoor tom cat, Sylvester. Vega chases the momma cat constantly as her herding instincts are quite robust. She has yet to learn that cats do not like to be herded. Sylvester owns the back yard and permits the canines to use it. Well you may have guessed it, Vega attempted to herd Sylvester. Monday was a beautiful day and I had the windows open. I heard Vega yelp and immediately knew what had happened. I wrote this song about it.
Buddy is a dog who loves his toys,
Playin' for a treat, from his first home he ran away,
He found him some new space,
With cats to chase,
Runnin' those cats all over the place.

They will, they will scratch you,
They will, they will scratch you.

Buffy is a Siam grey-tan,
Screechin and in heat tryin' get a tom come her way,
She's such a basket case,
Toms spray their mace,
'Til Buddy's let out to render chase.

They will, they will scratch you,
Scratch him.
They will, they will scratch you.

Buddy's got a game plan, can't stand,
Felines gettin' wise he's gonna grease one good some day,
Because one scratched his face,
When he did chase,
Gonna run 'em down, gonna give 'em a taste.

They will, they will scratch you,
They will, they will scratch you,
Chase those kitties,
They will, they will scratch you,
They will, they will scratch you.

Great work here, Guy, 5's for sure...... Now, please: let's hear a parody of "We Are The Champions" called "I Am Sylvester" !

And big bad dogs

etc etc ..... yeah!

JD - I thought of doing the Champions as you did in your parody combined with this one but I couldn't come up with a theme. Maybe I will try a sequel. I swear those 'wonderfully wired' dogs as you describe the breed are just amazing. Buddy wanted to play frizbee in the back yard last night in total darkness, not even a moon out,so I obliged him. Amazingly he was catching them in total darkness. The only way I knew he had caught it was by the sound I heard in the dark. It was all his idea. He brought the frizbee to me to toss.

Rick - I see the apology parody out there. He is bating us again. I have an answer for him that he will not like. Keep watching the comment section today for a comment I will make on another song. It's the best way I know to tell him that we are sick of the BS.

Mac, Jack and Pat, Thanks!

What a soap opera! Send them to Jerry Springer Spaniel.

Good show, quite a good show. You need 'We are the Champions', though. This isn't long enough to truly capture the story. As a for instance, I read through the song first without reading the background, and I had no idea what was going on. She can refuse tom after tom

Guy, what are those critters up to now?
Adagio - February 21, 2004 - Report this comment
That would make a good parody, using "We Are The Champions" to update what they are up to now. Kind of like my Big Family Eating Out parodies.

Yeah, I catch your drift. Am working on something that 2nz suggested. I hadn't realized that there would be any interest in my pets.
Adagio - February 21, 2004 - Report this comment
I think that most people love pets. :D

Nice one Guy! I have four cats and a pit bull. The dog just sits there and wags his tail while the cats eat all his food... :-D

Cute, I got a chuckle. lol, yeah. Animals are great. I have two cats and they are the weirdest cats I've ever had I swear! Angel and Peppy (both female and they are sisters, almost full grown now, black with a litte bit of white. And they're American shorthairs) both like the smell of stinky feet. It's sort of like catnip to them. lol
