The Lyrics

It's "Ta-kay", in case you didn't know. Srsly though, Takei is awesome.
The helmsman aboard the Enterprise
Now he fights for rights of the gays
And other assorted civil rights
People treated quite shitty
Won't hesitate, cuz he's just that great

Ooooh buddy, he's George Takei
You just gotta love George Takei
Such a fun voice to imitate

He likes to cock his eyebrow, says "Oh my"
I just love his real cheeky smile
His Twitter is a source of funny lines, my, my
Between fighting for all them rights
I won't hesitate to retweet, can't wait

Ooooh buddy, he's George Takei
How can anyone hate Takei
Roasted Shatner despite his hate

Despite my neglect of Trek, he's the best
A cheeky look is in his eyes
He was in Avatar, guys
The toon, not the film by James Cameron
He played Yoketron, was in Mulan
His voice makes me quake, but not in that way

Ooooh buddy, he's George Takei
It's so hard to hate George Takei
I don't care what the haters say

Ooooh buddy, he's George Takei
"Yo-kee-tron" For wise mentors, accept no other voice actor. "Cameron" has two syllables.

Until he came out of the closet I would' ve never guessed his homosexuality in a million years. I met him at a Trekkie convention and he is a very intelligent, calm, charming dude. He'll gladly sign anything, answer questions and smile for your camera while giving the Vulcan greeting sign. A nice song parody about a real nice fellow.

(AofA) I'm not much of a trekkie so much of Takei's charm was lost on me. I know of him, but not really much about him. Sorry, this was above me. I felt like I was missing a lot of stuff. Apologies. :(

All I can say about this parody is "Oh my!" (Great Takei Tribute!) Hate Frampton's original version of this song though much more of a fan of the UB40 version.

Not a Star Trek fan, but I know of Takei through his random appearances on other shows...nice work

(Ages) Oh, my! Another Star Trek celebrity tribute! Even I don't know much about George Takei, I'll just take your word that he's a great celebrity. Great work!

Cool send-up. I've enjoyed his work since he became a facebook hero as well, pretty funny guy. Nice song.

Ages...the only Star Trek I've enjoyed is the newest movie, but it sounds like I need to follow George on Twitter! :) Nice work here!
