Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The bizzare non-canonical 1967 James Bond Movie 'Casino Royale' starring David Niven, used to be more grudgingly accepted among Bondheads, but now it has been remade as a Daniel Craig movie, it is more forgotten.
When you were young and the Bond series seemed a closed book
You used to say Niven let live
(You know you did, you know you did you know you did)
But if this ever changing franchise which we’re given
Makes you give in and sigh

Say Niven let die
(Niven let die)
Niven let die
(Niven let die)

What does it matter to ya
When you got a book to adapt
You gotta do it well
You gotta follow the original

....You used to say Niven let live
(You know you did, you know you did you know you did)
But if this ever changing franchise which we’re given
Makes you give in and sigh
Say Niven let die

I've "Niven" really been that big a fan but some who are say that they feel a "Bond" with the character! 5's

I remember David Niven for a series of travelogues. In one episode he visited that village in the Khyber Pass where the streets are lined with stores offering homemade guns and locally grown hashish. Interesting premise for a song. I think I may have seen maybe two or three Bond movies, and that, only in reruns, many years later. Did wish I had an ejector seat in my car.
