Parody Song Title:

"Lolita Was A Title Once Banned"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

well, i was reading last night
lolita was a title once banned
i was reading it through, babe
ooh ooh ooh
it said...humbert's involved in some lechery
he became her pappy
as her poor mom lay heaped
in the main street

i just can't believe him
(i just can't believe him)
lolita wasn't made for this man
and when ol' quilty, doncha know
finally acquired her...well, i knew
he'd also cause some debauchery
cause the dude kidnapped her
from her hospital suite
what a mean streak

humbert set out
lolita married some other man
what a stinging kind of blow
when he found she was a bride
her belly round, near delivery
and he can't get over that
life just stank
quilty's dead meat

he found him there
and he felt despair
he's a low down criminal
no moral code

what'd he do, what he'd do, what'd he do
that snake there

then humbert said, "now, the time has come
to pay for your vices, you crumb"
oh no
a fatal blow

and then it occurred to him
his life had gone bad
lolita was sad
and humbert was too
and ol' quilty's on the floor
his heart just ain't working no more
evened the score

Great synopsis alvin. You've given me some inspiration for an idea as well :) And great and undervalued OS as well.

thanks peregrin....always glad to inspire....in my opinion, the whole 'venus & mars' album is undervalued....ditto, 'ram'

Sir Alvin, this was indeed a strange movie, as was the Nabakov novel . . . but the acting of Ms Winters & Mr Mason made it more so . . .
