The Lyrics

The original song makes very little sense. It seems quite brainless. Hence, this altered version - which makes even *less* sense, but is a lot funnier - to me, anyway. It might not be funnier to you. 'Your milage may vary' - a LOT. Harden my head, or 'dementia before squirrels'. Your choice... Or IS it?
Standing in the kitchen with a frying pan,
Wondering if I'm alive or dead,
Is there a brain in my head,
Or have I just gone insane?

Gray fur is the color of nightmare screams,
But it's time to light the fuse...

"I'm going to harden my head,
Suck down more beers,
Churn and churn like butter here..."

There's a pain in my head that never leaves,
A squirrel chattering at the window,
It too never leaves.
It invades my house and harvests my dreams.

Acorns are not in my diet of yet. I don't *have* a tree -
try telling this to a squirrel!

"I'm going to harden my head,
Suck down more beers,
Churn and churn like butter here..."

Squirrels have the hardest times, when they have to blow,
But it's time to light the fuse...

"I'm going to harden my head,
Suck down more beers,
Churn and churn like butter here..."

I'm going to harden my head,
It's the time for no tears,
I'm going to harden my head,
Suck down more bears,
Harden my head,
Grind up more gears,
Go! Go! Go!, oh, harden my head.

I shall harden my head,
Burn up the pears!
Blow up the shed,
The sum of all fears,
Harden my head, Harden my head,
Suck down more beers,
Going to blow up my shed...
On second thought, this now DOES make sense - to wit: a crusty old character has trouble with squirrels, with one particular specimen deciding that IT needs to treat the old man as if he were an acorn. The man DOES eventually get even...
