The girlfriend is question is fictional... though there may be an inspiration or two out there. Of course, if you're thinking it's You Know Who, I think there are more cars on Route 17 in and around the Bergen County malls than in her entire State!

As you second perfect voter--I had to commend you on this one--it's one of the better ones I've seen from you.
Nice take on this song...it reminds me of the Fountains of Wayne song "Valley of Malls" (which may have been inspired by Rt. 17!)
Tell 'em to take Rt. 555 instead...
