"I Used To Live In Sin With Some Girl"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Well, you might have to be somewhere near my age for this piece to resonate with you, but in the 60's and early 70's it was still kind of a big deal to a whole lot of parents.
(Instrumental intro)

Oy vey, I live in sin with some girl
My parents; not happy
"Why ain't she your wife, it's a sin", I demur

"I prefer 'Not hitched', sir, though some day I might
Can't see us together the rest of my whole life
of this I am sure"

(instrumental break)

They want some grandkids, must face this, I know
My mother then asks this, "When 'Up' will you grow?"
Just between us "Not sure"

I scream "She's a shiksa", look Mom in the eye
She said "Doesn't matter, she's crazy for you, guy. Think she's the right girl"
(Huh, that's kinda weird)

Wow, that was stunning, stared right her face then said
"Mom, when did you change your stance?"
She said "This could be your last chance"
Oh - yeah...that

(long instrumental out to end)

Hey - sounds like our mothers are cut from the same cloth.

Now do one about Kyrsten Sinema -- the new Senator from Arizona
paul robinson - November 30, 2018 - Report this comment
Peter, actually it was mostly non-verbal in my case - just baleful facial expressions. CML - That's a clever juxtaposition, hadn't thought of it. Not sure what I would have to say, though.

Not surprising it wouldn't occur to you, Paul. If you had been living in Arizona a few months ago and had been exposed to a Kyrsten Sinema ad every time you turned on the TV or the car radio, it might have ...... man, someone poured millions into that race. Even people living in caves without TV or radio were inundated with her name
paul robinson - December 02, 2018 - Report this comment
CML - I was aware of the race and heard about the massive spending, but outside of wanting Sinema to win and being pleased that she did I can't think of what else to say about it, at least not yet.

Well, if you have no personal experience with the situation, you would be unlikely to come up with anything inspired ...... One thing I can tell you -- the ads for Sinema's opponent were awful; about as effective as 30 seconds of nails scratching a chalkboard. I'm on record as saying that whoever was in charge of McSally's ads should be slowly dragged over 5 miles of Phoenix asphalt next July -- because being dragged thru hot coals isn't punishment enough
