Song Parodies -> She's Driving The Freeway, Ineptly
| Original Song Title: | "Stairway To Heaven" |
| Original Performer: | Led Zeppelin |
| Parody Song Title: | "She's Driving The Freeway, Ineptly" |
| Parody Written by: | Alvin Rhodes |
there's a lady who swerves, just a little, i'm told
as she's driving the freeway, ineptly
how she gets there, who knows ?, all her calls are quite close
in her car, she will hit what she aimed for
ooh, ooh...and she's driving the freeway, ineptly
ignores signs as she hauls and some errors occur
and some car horns are heard mixed with screaming
as she speeds, hits a truck and a firebird, she dings
seems as if her small honda's misdriven
ooh...she snakes and wanders
really snakes and wanders
to the east she will quest though the freeway heads west
and there's fear as folks stare, unbelieving
she's not caught at the scene, off she smokes as she flees
its poor choices she makes while she's braking
and she snakes and wanders
really snakes and wanders
road is littered with doom where the cars went kaboom
what a caper she caused with her keys in
on the road where she's gone, the folks came upon
are demolished and wrecked in disaster
and when she hustles down a paved road, best be alarmed now
there'll be no braking in the making
yes, there are two paths you should go by, she picks the wrong one
if she comes by, best change the road you're on
ooh...she snakes and wanders
ooh ooh...she snakes and wanders
this gal is coming and her skills blow, in case you don't know
the reaper's calling you to join him
dear lady, can't you hear my horn blow, as my car's mowed
this freeway might be my living end
and as she winds on down the road
a rambler, right through, she explodes
there goes a lady who's our foe
with no headlights that even show
and everywhere there's cars she rolled
and all a-glisten, windshield shards
and doom will come to you at last
as quite a tragic scene unfolds, yeah
cause she's amok and uncontrolled
as she's driving the freeway, ineptly
as she's driving the freeway, ineptly
how she gets there, who knows ?, all her calls are quite close
in her car, she will hit what she aimed for
ooh, ooh...and she's driving the freeway, ineptly

Clever work on this rock classic!
I echo Project Sisyphus, and this could have been me at one time when I was on medications that made me drowsy and affected my concentration. I also drove a very small Honda (a 1984 CRX) at that time, just like the person in your parody. However, I would do far more damage now than then if I was on those meds thanks to the Ford pickup I now own. 5s.
Wow! Awesome job on one of the all-time great songs. This one drives to 5s.
Classic!!! Great job on this, Alvin! LOL
Really liked this one. I think I was behind her today and she was also doing about 20 in a 40MPH zone that was two-lane.
Pull her over and make a citizen's arrest..top notch, alvin
