Stars and Stripes, a sight so fair
And fireworks bursting in the air
A dream of freedom we all share
My country was that way

The cities flood, the forests burn

While those in charge evade and stall

Jeers and taunts and slogans proud

Pretend to care, then let 'em go

And so they slip away

The Monday Morning body count
As homicide statistics mount
The bullets fly, the corpses fall
Our backs are up against the wall

Pants Suit versus Orange Hair
Republic wrecked beyond repair
Inject a needle of despair
Wish they'd just go away

Deplorables, we vote for him
We'll only just get screwed again
The swamp endures, we cannot win
They'll never go away

Excuses on the bookstore shelf
Blame everybody but herself
While Vlad's collusion she may call
She really has no proof at all

A madman with atomic toys
Apocalypse--or merely noise?
Contrived distractions we adore
A country we may have no more
