Parody Song Title:

"Asked For Dung (the Fertilizer Song)"

Parody Written by:

Malcolm Higgins

siting on my farm bench
eyeing my new field where seed was sent
crops soon will bound and grow
corn and beans and potatoes
I asked for dung
spread it on in bright sun
watching as the crows and buzzards come
I asked for dung
came in on a farm truck
hope it helps the plants to bring me luck
I asked for dung
some times I'm told
this stuff needs watering only
planting time the only way I know
smells very bad
it depends, I guess I knew that
I go down to the field it coats my feet
animal crap bought it just up the road
his cows all dropped a load, and it came to me
ask for dung my friend just a spread and farming's easy
you can grow sod, for free, it's 1-2-3

but I still remember, December's icy breeze
when the ice that was on my field put me in bankruptcy
now I gasp with smelly fast breaths
with deep deep gasping sounds
will my crops all bloom I planted them this spring

sun feels so cold
my farmland watering only
wasting time the only way I know
it's smelling bad
it depends, I guess I knew that
I go down to the field it coats my feet
animal crap bought it just up the road
his cows all dropped a load, and it came to me
ask for dung my friend just a spread and farming's easy
you can grow sod, for free, it's 1-2-3

ask for dung my friends, and your farming days are easy
you can grow sod for free, it's 1-2-3
