Parody Song Title:

"I'm An Old Testament Man"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

Water flowed for forty days
Last night in this ol'Ark
Rain turned to haze

Sweet, sweet dove, he -- flew'n come back
Had nowhere to go, and that's a Biblical fact

At daylight
He flew again

Dove put an olive branch in my hand

A-flew the birdie
Next daylight

Did not come back and that's how we knew land's in sight!

I'm an Old Testament man!
I'm an Old Testament man!
I'm Noah, and God's Will,
Was zoological
I'm an Old Testament man!

Four men in heat that would melt a rock
And one of them's a man with a heavenly glow

Feelin' good
Feelin' right
They walk in the light

King Nebuchadnezzar -- he had such-a-fright!

Ne-bu-chad-nez-zar
Saw them and cried

"Come out ye ser-vants of God the Most High!"

He said

"Come out, boys, you're free today!
I say no other God
Can-save-in-this-way!"

He's an Old Testament man!
He's an Old Testament man!
Nebuchadnezzar's awe
Caused him to change his law
He's an Old Testament man!

They were Old Testament men!
They were Old Testament men!
They lived so long ago
And still their story's told
They were Old Testament men!

Hey, nice break from all the weighty spiritual cynicism on this site.

Thanks, Whoh Nelly! I've always loved reading the Bible, it's just something I don't talk about very much. The title " I'm An Old Testament Man " just sort of came to me the other day when I was mulling-over various classic rock songs to parody, and I came across that old Grand Funk Railroad tune...so I went with it!

I was getting tired of so much spiritual cynicism too. Thanks, Johnny...fresh air! 5's

These are the generations of this parody: Chuckie G begat Amiright. And Amiright begat Johnny, he who didst parody with much wittiness. And Johnny begat much laughter. And behold the critics saw it, that it was good. Thou hast done well, oh Johnny.

In the beginning, Chucky created the Ami and the Mirth. And the Mirth was without form, and void. And darkness was upon the page of his site. And Chucky said, "Let there be Right", and there was Right. And Chucky saw that it was good. And Chucky put the Ami together with the Right, and there was Amiright. And the rest of us glommed onto it like remoras on a shark and sucked the living sh*t out of it for laughs. Thanks, SP!

Daniel always gets all the publicity!

I concur with and compliment Stray Pooch' comment. Johnny D, you have the wit of a Solomon (although, I suspect, you would prefer to have the women of a Solomon).

Thank you Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And thank you too, JJ ... didn't he have like 700 porcupines or something like that?

Had to give you a shout out on this one Johnny, even if I'm late. It's great!

Sir, love your Biblical parodies!! They make us visualize so much! Also, . . . your tale about the ~Creation of Am-I-Right~, and the God o'Chucky !
