The Lyrics

From the movie that taught lessons to several entitled brats, this OS has a new lesson for many.
[Spoken]
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls:
(Before us is) The Government Factory
Hold your breath; save the fish; plant a tree.

[Sung]
Come with me and you'll be of the world; abjure primeval nation.
Read my books and you'll creep into pure globalization.

We'll begin with my spin, trav'ling in a world of my creation.
What we'll see will defy explanation.

If you want a true paradise,
Government alone renews it.
Anything you want, we grew it.
Hope can change the world;
There's nothing to it.

There is no strife, I know, when you share a sure indoctrination.
Learning fare will be free, if you'll duly vote for me.

If you want no clue of the price,
Simply look away; you'll rue it.
Any drink you want, we'll brew it.
Want a strange new world?
There's nothing to it.

There is no knife* I know that's so fair, insured socialized nation.
Living spare, you'll seem free, but you truly will not be.
* He thinks he wields Occam's razor, but Obamacare won't be the simplest solution.

dont know the original tune , but the parodist is right on. if you're stupid or lazy, lean on government to think for you- as liberals do.

Wow... pacing and rhyme structure both stay true to the Bricusse/Newley original throughout-- not an easy feat! Beautifully crafted parody, pointedly satirical message-- everything it should be! :)

Rob: Thanks, you got my message (already had it). See the 20th-century movie, not 21st-century remake. Fiddlegirl: Highest praise I ever got, thanks. I strive to get not only pacing & rhyme but also homophones for accented words within each line wherever possible. To that end, I'd change "abjure primeval" to "abjuring magic".
