The Lyrics

I have just opened Windows, again
Clicked on top the Minesweeper icon
Try to avoid the bombs in the way
Clear the board in record time...

OOOH! Minesweeper! Just one game to get me through the night.
Minesweeper! I believe I can guess the squares just right.

Though the Sponge may be sleeping soon,
There may still be some time.
Click away till there's a smile on the moon.
Don't hit a bomb, or you will die.

OOOH! Minesweeper! Just one game to get me through the night.
Minesweeper! I believe I can guess the squares just right.

If it wasn't for Spider Solitaire (and the occasional piece of actual work), I'd probably spend most of my workday playing Minesweeper!

I've just gotten into Spider Solitaire too...4 suits are tough, I win 1 in about every 45 games at that level.

To tell you the truth Jeff this one was pretty far away from being about Adventure or Danger as you could possibly get. It's about a video game.... And an old boring one at that.

(Ages) Cute idea, but problems here: 1) You're missing the whole second stanza, and you don't take advantage of the live version's extra lines at the end; 2) too many lines off rhythm; 3) barely on topic: if you'd made yourself a character in the game instead of just a player, it would be Adventure or Danger to that character, but it's just a game to you. For contest purposes, this needed a rewrite. 4-4-4, and I was tempted to give you a 3 on the pacing.

(Ages2) This was really stretching for a Danger/Adventure round, I gotta say. Also, I've never played Minesweeper for more than a minute (epic failures at something turn me away from that something). Soooo I can't say much else.

Doh, not too epic or adventurous, but I can respect an excellent title sub when I see one.

AGES...=) Oh Jeffy...I think the complainers are all missing the very real (though only implied here) danger that comes from playing Minesweeper. I mean...what if your boss walks in? Then you're in REAL trouble. Scary stuff, Buddy...=)

What's Minesweeper ? Is it that game where you stick little pegs in the board and try to sink the other guy's fleet ?
Oh...that's Battleship...sorry
Seriously, you had a super title-sub, and you were going along great, but it seems like you hit a mine. And, I do realize that this was 5 years ago.

Well, I can't add much here, everything I can think of has been said, good parody of a really simple OS.
