Parody Song Title:

"I Got Embarrassed"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I got embarrassed
When my golf ball hit the redwood tree
I got embarrassed
When my golf ball hit the redwood tree

All alone in my back yard
I hit the damn ball too hard
I swear I was just practicing chipping
When I take the mighty Tiger swing
What a drive with the Tiger swing!
But I say:

I got embarrassed
Then I try to jump the neighbor's fence
I got embarrassed
Now he act like it a capital offense!

Stupid jerk always hated me--
For what I don't know!
See, my lawns have a lot of weeds
He said, "Kill it before it grows."
He said, "Kill it before it grows."
I say:

I got embarrassed
When I jump the freaking neighbor's fence
I got embarrassed
And I hate to keep you in suspense--

Jumping fence to retrieve ball
I can't believe it at all--
All of a sudden I see neighbor naked
Doing nasty with Fido
And his wife, shoots video!
I say!

I got embarrassed
When my golf ball hit the redwood tree
I got embarrassed
When observing bestiality

Temptation got the better of me
And what a freak show I see!
Poor doggie can't be doing too well--
I think maybe bottom will drop out,
Yes, one day his bottom will drop out!
But I say:

I got embarrassed
When my golf ball hit the redwood tree
Oh, no,
I got embarrassed
When my golf ball hit the redwood tree
Oh, no....

The bit with the dog is sharply witty and eminently woofable, but the funniest part to me was "See, my lawns have a lot of weeds / He said, "Kill it before it grows." /He said, "Kill it before it grows." ............ 5's

Yeah, Johnny, I love to use original lines to parody the original. It's disgustingly easy and funny too, most of the time. My lawn is the very worst on the block because I never water it. I take pride in that, and it's about the only way to tell what season it is here in California. d;:^)

Reminds me of that time when this guy I (unfortunately) used to know made a lot of remarks about having to do his dog when his "bitch" was out of town: I said "So that why, when he barks now, I can see right through him!?"

Very good. Nothing at all wrong with using original lines, if you work them into the new context.

I've heard the golf term "dogleg left," but this is ridiculous.

This was my first LOL parody of the day! Hilarious! :-D

Dee Range: glad you enjoyed it, and I love your moniker.
Know 1: nice story. Sounds a lot like the neighbor in my song. Dogplunker. Arfknocker. Barkbonker.
John B: thanks dude, glad you appreciate the trope.
Michael P: your comment is like a hole in one. In my song the one is a dog.
Merry: I appreciate the LOL from you, and do say hi to Peregrin for me. I've been away from the computer most of the summer, so today's songs are something of a backlog. d;:^)

Well, at least he wasn't pulling the "40 mule" train...(for those of you old enough to remember the old...OH, OH...I don't REMEMBER the name of that stupid freaking show that Ronald Reagan used to host - but it was sponsored by "Borax", a detergent or cleaning agent of some type...maybe it was...Death Valley Days?????? - I think...maybe...5's...

Nice one, Bob - not based on experience, I hope? ;-)

Paul: right you are, I remember that show.
Phil: no, I don't play golf, but my neighbor does have a dog. Come to think of it, I do hear some strange barking at night, though......d;:^)
