Song Parodies -> "Covfefe"

Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Eric Clapton

Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd

The Lyrics

For the sake of this parody I have decided that the tweet-word covfefe is pronounced with both a silent v and a silent e at the end. (I might decide differently later for another parody idea where three syllables would pace better).

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here.
If your Twitter has clout
You can there mess about

Every journo in town's
on the merry-go-round

Is it verb? Is it noun? Is it vile?

If you're aiming for views
You want some misconstrues

Let us all have some fun
Let this tweet-word be spun

Is it verb? Is it noun? Is it wry?

With clickbaiting done
And your coverage won

Don't supply any facts
Watch folks overreact

Is it verb? Is it noun? Should we smile?

Is it verb? Is it noun? I'm beguiled!

I think that Trump was on cocaine when he concocted that nonsense word

Was wondering why no one had done this one. Very good.

At first glance, I thought the word was an attempt at coverage, but then the latter Arabic explanation. 555!

This OS was my first thought, but I couldn't get around how to turn what looked like a three-syllable word into a two-syllable one. You did. Well done. My second thought was, "Covfefe, you're so fine, you're so fine, you blow my mind, Covfefe!" I also thought "Yesterday" and "Volare." I went another way: "All Shook Up." Not satisfied with it.

Try "Goldfinger". Then you could write "It's the tweet of DEATH for Mister .... Covfefe"

Thanks! I've stopped working on my second idea because there aren't enough words that rhyme with a three syllable pronounciation of covfefe, at least not that I can come up with. But since we're OS-dropping; the OS I had in mind (because of the structure of the overall lyrics) was Kiss' "Charisma":

I know that you happen to be a limerick-fan. How about this? ... / Spicer thought we should best play it safe, eh? / (Covert intel was leaked by 'El Jefe') / "Constant negative press"? / We can clean up that mess / With a weapon Vlad calls 'the covfefe' /

You'll have to forgive Peter, he comes from Swedistan!

Big thanks to all you word-loving punsters and commenters who got this. As for the record number of unobombers hitting it - I don't get it - is everything that originates from Trump's tiny hands offensive now - even fumbled neologisms?

So this parody clarifies how one pronounces "covfefe"? "Ko-fave"? I was going for "ko-fay-fay". Don't despair, Peter, this site has had a long history of right leaning lambs.
