i used to be out anglin', constantly
now i say, the scene is borin' me
these days, i'm just content to stay at home
no more fish will perish, cause i just don't want to go

twas my hobby !
i'd bring my rod and reel to the riverside
catchin' the beasts
i'd see where the fat carp hide
unwind, all on my own, in water deep
it time i put my ol' rod down for keeps

the fish are out today
