Parody Song Title:

"Corporate Man"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

They lost my bags again – some flight
This travelling is drivin me insane
So I think I’ll get high just to ease the pain

I miss New York so much
I miss my wife
Travelodge is such a lonely place
It’s a cruel rat race

Chorus

All I do is driven by the bottom line
It’s all that matters always on my mind
I’m not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no

I’m a corporate man
Corporate man
Chasing girly action when I’m on the road

( repeat)

The City ain’t no place to raise your kids
We moved up state like all the rest
But I was never there to raise them
When we did

She left me for my oldest friend
My life was truly on the skids
Corporate Man
Corporate Man

Chorus

Pretty good, Martha, but I had to dock you a point for crediting Bowie instead of Elton John. Did Bowie ever record this one? Not that I can remember. He did "Ziggy Stardust," about an astronaut, the same year "Rocket Man," uh, came out, in 1972. But I don't think he ever did this one.

yes, "Rocket Man" is by Elton John. Bowie's similar tune is "Space Oddity"
