The Lyrics

Calling Microsoft support
Calling Microsoft support
Turn your PC on, the wait will not be short

Calling Microsoft support
For this pile of junk I bought
Check for floppy disks before trying to boot

(callers in the queue ahead of you)
Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One, "Can I help you"

Now I'm on the line to tech support
They say I should upgrade
And they're asking me what software I've installed
And whether my home PC is firewalled

"This is MS Technical Support
Please can you explain
How it's behaving in a most peculiar way
And the screen looks very different today"

For here
Am I booting up in safe mode
Look at my PC
Screen of death is blue
And there's nothing I can do

Though I'm past one thousand megabytes
The scandisk's going still
And I think my PC knows it's gonna blow
And all my data's vanishing it goes

Calling Microsoft support
My PCs dead, worse than I thought
Can you hear me, tech support?
Can you hear me, tech support?
Can you....

Here am I booting up in safe mode
Check disk sectors gone
Screen of death is blue
And there's nothing I can do.

Thank you, Princess. Have you seen my other PC parodies: "I Only Want The Thing To Boot" and "When Upgrading Windows"?

I don't find it perfect, but I gave 5 to it. A story about one of Russian Microsoft support services: One firm bought WinXP... But it will not activate. They called the support. They were asked to wait... They waited for two hours and paid for them, then the support said them that the support doesn't work after this time - "call tomorrow". $#*($&#(*$& Then the girl in support told them "Why wait all this - better go [...] and get a crack!"

Thanks, Stuart (and looking back, Merry, Pippin, Chris, Michael and Deleter)... it's been a long time since I last looked at this one, too :-)

Bwahahahaha... I just got an idea for my first computer related parody. (OK, second after "substandard matrix"). Expect it shortly, like for the weekend or something like that, and I might credit this read for it there too. :-)
