The Lyrics

still don't know what he was in jail for
but his name had been defiled
a million bucks he needs, and...
everytime we thought we had it made
it seemed we went down to defeat
when it seemed we'd failed completely
we found that we'd been blessed
our invitations had found some takers
they all showed up to do their best

ch-ch-ch-ch-chef-aid (no one's gettin' paid)
ch-ch-chef-aid...no one is gettin' richer, man
ch-ch-ch-ch-chef-aid (songs are bein' played)
ch-ch-chef-aid...comin' up is yet another band
we formed chef-aid...so chef don't do time

i watch the stage with tear filled eyes
these bands are all the cream...of music pertinent
can't believe that all these guys
would show up in chef's name
all musicians, that we hit on
to a man, they kept their word
and they play with no restitution
they're quite aware of what chef's goin' through

ch-ch-ch-ch-chef-aid (no one's gettin' paid)
ch-ch-chef-aid...chef's jailed but soon he will be out of it
ch-ch-ch-ch-chef-aid (songs are bein' played)
ch-ch-chef-aid...they're all game
they're stickin' out their necks for it
we formed chef-aid...so chef don't do time

great entertainers entertaining me
ahhh....chef-aid is cookin'
they'll play the whole night through

ch-ch-ch-ch-chef-aid (no one's gettin' paid)
ch-ch-chef-aid...all his friends are rock 'n' rollers
ch-ch-ch-ch-chef-aid (songs are bein' played)
ch-ch-chef-aid...pretty good friends
they have all lent him a shoulder
we formed chef-aid...so chef don't do time

I have no idea who this parody is about but the pacing is right on and the wording is clever, so 555, and well done, Batman.

Johnny, this is based on a Special Episode of South PArk where Chef was accused of plagiarism of one of his old songs. A benefit concert is held in South Park to pay for his litigation fees, with a gaggle of rock stars, including Meat Loaf, Ozzy Osbourne, Ween, Joe Strummer, and more as guest stars...all of which is featured on the Chef Aid album. 444
