The Lyrics

Someone told me there is a kind of travel that is fast
I know, and keen to learn about it
In the cockpit, seatbelt on, push the throttle stick forwards
I know, cruisin' through the big clouds

I wanna know, have you ever flown a plane?
I wanna know, have you ever flown a plane?

To this day, in my Cessna, sky is blue and wind is still
I know, doin' some crazy missions
Got my licence, and flyin' for an airline, fast and slow,
I know, through the sky, like a bird

I wanna know, have you ever flown a plane?
I wanna know, have you ever flown a plane?

Yeah!

I wanna know, have you ever flown a plane?
I wanna know, have you ever flown a plane?

A parody about airplanes? Surely you can do better than this. Even if it does remind me of the joke: What do you call Dick Cheney and Karl Rove riding on Air Force One? "Snakes On a Plane."

Flippin' heck Michael! Not like you to give me a low score! Where is Mr. Critic when you need him?!

Gotta be honest: not your best, Jase. Wistful rather than funny. It was OK. 534

Thanks Ann and Kristof. Yea Kristof I must admit I agree with your comment; this wasn't my best effort as I wrote this quickly, but I'll try and be on my usual top form in my next parody.

not bad but the idea wasn't quite funny enough - the title sub appealed though - 444

No, I haven't flown a plane, Jason, but I have flown in planes recently. My first time was a couple of weeks ago when I took a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida; and more recently when I took a trip to France & Italy, with a stopover in Germany (which explains my absence from this site, sorry about that). At first, I was a little apprehensive because I was afraid of crashing & burning, so I read Psalm 23 ("The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want" etc...) the night before for protection. However, I made it in 1 piece, & flying was a fun experience for me. Thus far, I have flown with the following airlines: Southwest Airlines & Lufthansa. I have also flown on the following aircraft: Boeing 737 (737-300 & 737-700 models), Airbus A320, & Airbus A340 (A340-300).
