The Lyrics

Idea I FINALLY did after having it since Sept. of last year
I like sports and I like to watch some sports shows
I go to games, and scream everytime they throw
I just am a sports nut
Id go to the sports stores and look for some Mavs stuff

Jerseys, caps and T's
Is what they sold every sports store in the town
They´d sell us jerseys, caps and Ts
I sure do love it when the Mavs come around
And dribble on the ground

I watch them run till they hurts the heels
Have popcorn and a soda, every sports game meal
Those cheerleaders sure are just hot ones
So are all the dancers
But at halftime, I like to go and look where they sell

Jerseys, caps and T's
Is what they sold every sports store in the town
They´d sell us jerseys, caps and Ts
I sure do love it when the Mavs come around
And dribble on the ground

I see them dribblin', they do so well
They could possibly run a mile
I haven't been to a game in a while uh-huh
Havent seen one for a while, uh-huh

I like sports and I like to watch some sports shows
I go to games, and scream everytime they throw
I just am a sports nut
Id go to the sports stores and look for some Mavs stuff

Jerseys, caps and T's
Is what they sold every sports store in the town
They´d sell us jerseys, caps and Ts
I sure do love it when the Mavs come around
And dribble on the ground

Hi Jack - good work, more good progress here. I had to ding you a little bit on pacing..... you left out a parody-line for the original-line "Three months later I'm a gal in trouble", and about 1/2 to 2/3 of the other lines were off by 1-to-3 syllables each ... if it had been less than that I'd have given you a 5 for pacing, but there were just too many pacing discrepancies for me to say your pacing was "Lots" like the original's. Funny, I gave you 4, just because it didn't really seem hilarious, just humorous - but Overall I give you 5 because it's a well-thought-out, coherent, consistently-themed parody that shows real progress. Good job.

Jack W - I have to go along with Johnny on the pace but I'm chuckling with the "Funny", even though it may wander a bit so I'm giving you 4-5-5. But I agree that the focus might have been a little sharper.
