"Turn It Beige"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

a little overkill angst about ruining clothes with little drops of bleach--
In an overflowing laundry room
piled with dirty socks
The old washer, it is churning
The Tide is in the box
You've just got to get this pile down
It's larger than it was the night before
So you start your job of laundering
The way you always do
When you wash for sixteen hours
Some greens may turn to blue
When you make mistakes with Clorox
There ain't nothin you can do

Chorus:
Here I am
With the bleach again
here I am
In a white rage
Here I go
makin some spots again
There I go
Turn it beige

When you walk into the light of day
Look down at your shirt
See the little splotches on it
Cause you made the Clorox squirt
You pretend it doesn't look that bad
But you're feeling like a toad
Another garment bites the dust
Put it in the can
Oh, those laundry glitches
Are you a leopard now my friend?
And you swear that you'll do better
When you do the wash again

(Repeat Chorus)

Hanging in your wardrobe
Are some things you used to wear
Til you got some Clorox on them
Does this stuff fly through the air?
Are you really that damn clumsy
And do you really care..
At the stroke midnight
You are tossing in your bed
With those horrid little white dots
Splotching up your head
And the thought of doing laundry
Fills you with such dread

Repeat Chorus Twice

Super clever and super funny parody. I ruined my favorite t-shirt by spilling bleach on it :( so I definately can relate to this. all 5's.

And some of those other household cleaner products in spray bottles do it too! You are usually so upbeat; this must have been a terrible thing for you. I myself have lost more shirts to Clorox on the hem than I can count. Would you consider something redeeming, maybe something about Oxyclean?

555 for you, won't dock you technical points for a few verses like green into blue as I realize this is sometimes necessary to make a proper rhyme ( and I have done the same as well a few times)
