The Lyrics

Yes, I did one for her "Charlie's Angels" co-star Lucy Liu. No, I'm not completing the triple crown for Cameron Diaz. I don't like her anymore. But Drew Barrymore... It's funny, I never had a thing for Alyssa Milano, because I first saw her when she was about 12, and that was just... wrong. But I never had that problem with Drew once she grew up, and I first saw her at 7. So what's the difference? If I hit on Alyssa, Tony Danza might come after me. Who's gonna hurt me if I hit on Drew? Henry Thomas (Elliott in "E.T.")? I think I could take him. So here's a song for Drew, since Catherine, Jennifer, Angelina and Jessica still aren't taking my calls...
(instrumental opening)

Baby, all the lights are turned on Drew.
Grandchild of a legend of the stage.
Go to see her film, that's what I'll do.
Ah, she is in her prime, she's come of age.
I knew one day she'd be this good somehow.
And everybody loves Drew now!

She has walked away from her mistakes.
Ah, she has turned her back on coke she blew.
Just her little smile, it gives me shakes.
Ah, who needs Cameron? Who needs Lucy Liu?
My loneliness she'll throw away somehow.
And everybody loves Drew now!

Oh, we met her at age seven.
And we all waited 'til she's grown.
Ah, but between you and me, I wish my love she'd carry...
as my own!

All the people, sure, they know her name.
Now she's got her own star on her door.
Even though she messed up Yankee game
she's a credit to the House of Barrymore.
So I cried at end of "Fever Pitch," and how!
Still, everybody loves Drew now!

"Words and Music," flick I wanna see.
Hopefully, that naughty Grant will go.
Come a long way from debut, "E.T."
In my mind, she's a bombshell and a pro!
Ah, she regained her innocence somehow!
And everybody loves Drew now!

Oh, you know that nothing lasts forever.
Not even the youth of a Barrymore!
Ah, but I hope she will let me sail into her harbor...
Could I score?

See theater lines curl around
at the multiplex here at the mall?
Kissing Hugh? A lot of guys have frowned.
'Cause we have fallen into Miss Drew's thrall.
Ah, she's the one we've wanted, this we vow!
Everybody loves Drew now!

(instrumental close)

Very nice, and I agree completely. Fives for you, and a ten for Drew.
