The Lyrics

Ahhhh, spring. The birds are singing, the sun is shining, the air is warmer, baseball is underway, hockey is headed to the Playoffs... It's the most wonderful time of the year? Not if you've got...
If you search for healthfulness
it isn't hard to find.
You can buy the drugs you need to live.
But if you've got the sniffle, Miss
and your eyes tear 'til you're blind
the antihistamine I'll have to give!

Allergy!
It's such a yucky word!
Tissues for the nose you blew!
Allergy!
It's really for the birds!
I hope it doesn't afflict you!

I can always find someone
to say they realize
it is wrong to wipe nose on my sleeve.
But I don't want a puffy face
a stuffy nose, red eyes.
All I want is something to relieve!

Allergy!
It's such a yucky word!
Tissues for the nose you blew!
Allergy!
It's really for the birds!
I hope it doesn't afflict you!

I can find a doctor!
I can find a friend!
I can have some Claritin
until the bitter end!
Anyone can comfort me with Kleenex box again.
I know.
(I know.)
I know.
Whoa-whoa-whoa...

All this stuff inside of me
don't get too concerned.
Soon after the pills, it will be gone.
But will you take good care of me?
If not, where else can I turn?
'Cause you're the one that I will sneeze upon!

Allergy!
It's such a yucky word!
Tissues for the nose you blew!
Allergy!
It's really for the birds!
I hope it doesn't
ah... achoo!

You know I do, Michael, but do you have hayfever? I have to say that this is the parody I relate most to today, and for some time after this, too. I'm serious, the plants OUTSIDE are spreading the pollen, the plants in my ROOM are spreading the pollen, and I wake up in the morning with a plug of mucous in my nose. And you DON'T want to know what my sleeves look like. 555

Y'know, YAD, here in America, we have this old joke: "Doctor, Doctor, it hurts when I do this!" "So don't do that!" If you have plants in your room that are aggravating your allergies, get rid of them! Yikes, no wonder your people lost New York and New Jersey to the British in 1664!

Mike, they only hurt me because they love me. And besides, even WITHOUT the plants in my room, pollen manages to sneak inside, and, well, it's not killing me so I'll just hold my head up high (and my nose, otherwise it all drips all over the floor) and hold on until it's over.

New Jersey was on purpose. We decided we had more than enough swamp territory back home, anyways. ;-)
