Whoa, I woulda bet my own island that someone woulda done this one already. If I had one, I mean. Anyway, great stuff, though I have to admit my 10-year-old loves the show (even if she doesn't care for the music; she prefers the Beatles). Anyway, loved the "style he / Miley rhyme in particular.

Brilliant! This one is going to be hard to beat. Great slam on a artist (and I use that word loosely, might I add) that doesn't really get hit all that often although she more than deserves it.

Sadly, my nieces love Miley/Hanna. I've tried to get them to listen to actual talented musicians, but they have been dumbed down by the Disney Channel and Cartoon Network. I weep for the next generation.

Claude...hey thanks! Nice to see you around here...I feel like it's been a while. That might be due to my own absence, though...so you know...I'll just assume you've been around. =) I was SO paranoid that someone would have already done this, though. I checked and rechecked and checked again. I googled it, in case someone did it somewhere else...because it just seemed TOO obvious to me. Coming up dry in my searches, though, I proceeded with caution. =) I'm glad you liked it...

Matty...thanks a ton. You shouldn't have to worry about beating this though...it's not for the contest. I know it's been a while, but I DO sometimes write things just for the sake of submitting them. =) Anyway...the OS is from 1978, so it wouldn't work for this round even if I'd intended it to. I've yet to come up with something for Ages. Eeek!

Loved it! I have to admit that I enjoy watching the show (even as a guy in my late 20s); I think there's some hilarious dialogue on it. Anyway, I think this is good stuff. And good choice of O.S. 5-5-5.

Way to go, Arwen! I enjoyed reading/singing parodies relating to teen idols. Yep, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus' pics have been plastered on every front page of Kewl, J-16, Astro Girl, etc. My niece as well as my friend's nieces are big fans of Hannah Montana as well. I gave them Hannah CD's, DVD's, and her dolls for Christmas last year and they loved it! I wrote the same parody of this song about a teen idol, except he's from Nickelodeon (Devon Werkheiser of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide), as Hannah's a Disney teen idol. Anyways, Hannah Montana's got my vote! 555.

I echo Matthias, and I think that Miley/Hannah deserves to have as many nasty (in terms of reference to her) parodies written about her as is possible. In fact, I might write at least one myself since I hate Disney so much. (I hate Disney because of its tendency to water down traditional fairy tales and literary works, specifically, "Pocahontas", "Arabian Nights" [Aladdin], and "Cinderella", not to mention getting little kids hooked on shows meant for preteens that suck in every way (High School Musical, That's So Raven, Hannah Montana). Nevertheless, 5s for you, Arwen!

Sorry about the delay, but congratulations on your win. I had read this before, but forgot to comment. Very deserving, spot-on pacing and excellent to see someone addressing this Hannah Montana everyone keeps talking about. Montana is an amazing state when experienced outdoors, and I dislike it's association with Miss Cyrus. Also loved the 'annah' rhymes.

I am also the aunt of a Hannah Montana fan. Her mother says, 'she (Cyrus) has only one song, and sings it badly'! Matthew Wright on the Wright Stuff labelled the show as 'evil' as his niece had it on through her school holidays too!

Oh, Arwen, I've been SUCH a bad boy for not seeing this one right after it came out. I should be penalized by being forced to NEVER watch or listen to anything the Cyrus family does ever again. I don't know whether to say this parody is really funny or (probably more accurate) sad-but-true. Miley is one concussion away from turning into the Eric Lindros of music, and that's not a good thing! (Lindros also had a crazy, considerably-less-talented father with dopey hair.)

For those who defend Miley...that's fine. You have the right to like her...go for it. I will argue, though, that being influential doesn't mean you're important. Charles Manson was influential. People get arrested for being under the influence of a lot of things that make them crazy. Much like Miley makes ME crazy. Sadly, though...implanting "The Climb" into my head without my consent isn't a crime. Yet. I'm waiting on a response from my Congressman.

Miley is a good comedian. Her TV show is better than most sit-coms. Disney brought us Jodie Foster and early Sean Connery, and others, so they aren't too bad at choosing talent. Some who comment here are too jaded to be credible critics.
