"Stoney-henge"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

ancient things, i love
and it has been a dream of mine
to appraise every work of genius
that has sprang from people's minds
and i'm gonna leave for england in the morning

goin' down to stoney-henge
i aways wanted to go
down to stoney-henge
wanna feel the awe...all over
wanna be...on the salisbury plain

i'll be there september tenth
when the sun begins to rise
these were stones, chiseled out and carted
a creative exercise
and i'm gonna leave for england in the morning

goin' down to stoney-henge
i aways wanted to go
down to stoney-henge
wanna feel the awe...all over
wanna be...on the salisbury plain

wish i'd seen these stones cast
across the plain, they must have rolled
its a glorious and puzzlin' wonder
will its mystery unfold ?
and i'm gonna leave for england in the morning

goin' down to stoney-henge
i aways wanted to go
down to stoney-henge
wanna feel the awe...all over
wanna be...on the salisbury plain

goin' down to stoney-henge
i always wanted to go
goin' down to stoney-henge
i always wanted to go
goin' down to stoney-henge
i always wanted to go

When you get there, do what Oscar Wilde did when he went the other way (not to be confused with his being gay): Tell the people at Heathrow, "I have nothing to declare, nothing except my genius." We'll believe it. OK, in a post-9/11 world, you can't do that. But you've got enough brains to not say what so many have said: "I declare that I'm proud to be an American."

Let me know the secret, when you discover it....This reminds me of a Mel Brooks movie, I believe it was, where someone backed his car into one of the formations, and the rest toppled in a domino effect..

AFW: Wasn't that Chevy Chase in "European Vacation"? Could be worse, at least that Stonehenge wasn't crushed by a dwarf like in "Spinal Tap."
