Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Barbra Streisand

Parody Song Title:

"Send in the Droids"

Parody Written by:

Spock

The Lyrics

The mixed-up emotions and thoughts of one, Princess Leia.
Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
You with your scoundrel physique.
Me with my hair.
Send in the the droids.

Can it be true?
If this is real,
Why do I have a bad feeling
About what I feel?
Where are the droids?
Send in the droids.

Just when I'd stopped
Speaking my mind,
Not breathing word of the rebel base no one could find,
All that it led to was death and destruction again.
Are you here now?
Where were you then?

Is there a force?
Does it control?
Will we destroy one another
Like two blackholes?
And where are the droids?
There ought to be droids;
Quick, send in the droids.

Trusting my eyes;
From what I see,
What we have felt for eachother was all meant to be;
Looking around me I only see two other men;
One is a wookie,
One is my twin.

Isn't is rich?
Isn't it queer?
I'd prefer kissing a wookie.
Sorry, my dear.
And where are the droids?
Quick, send in the droids
Don't bother, they're here.

I find this parody to be very good, but since you're posing as Spock, who is a fictional character not in the same story as Princess Leia and the other "Star Wars" characters, I also find it highly illogical. However, I won't dock you points for using the Streisand version, even though most people's most familiar version is that of Judy Collins.

My first song on this site was "Send in the Clones", a concept that would find its way into one of the later (earlier?) Star Wars films. Star Wars, Star Trek. Even Vulcans need love, but only once every seven years.

Thanks for the positive feedback! And thanks for forgiving the Star Wars/Star Trek paradox. ;] If you liked this parody, be sure to check out Always a Wookie.
