Parody Song Title:

"Where's Waldo?"

Parody Written by:

Adagio and Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

Is he near those bums, where's Waldo?
You encounter Johns and Joes and others, Lauries, Mikes or Chris.
They're not lookin' quite like Waldo.
It gets numbing searching Ralphs and Sullys hunting for our star.
He's not mixed in with those bums,
Check grounds and shopping malls, once found him in a car.

He's a hoser that guy Waldo,
Your eye power gets to dimmin' bursting out capillary,
He does so evade, that Waldo,
It's so dumb don't need this strife, search for this geeky Waldo guy,
Searching every frame all day,
They call this fun but please don't make me tell you why.

He is always hiding in plain sight,
He's average height, our Waldo.
Eve-ry-one has an-o-nym-i-ty,
He's hard to see, that Waldo.
But I thought he had on tennis shoes,
I'm so upset.
Swear I'll never play this game again,
He's not my friend, old Waldo.
Swear I'll never play this game again,
He's not my friend, old Waldo.

It gets old seeking out Waldo,
I sit here years but haven't seen that geek as I had planned.
Do you see the shirt of Waldo?
Do you still recall that it is red and white and never bland?
Now I'm getting all cross-eyed.
How proud I'd be to find him once just as I'd planned.

He is always hiding in plain sight,
He's average height, our Waldo.
Eve-ry-one has an-o-nym-i-ty,
He's hard to see, that Waldo.
But I thought he had on tennis shoes,
I'm so upset.
Swear I'll never play this game again,
He's not my friend, old Waldo.
Swear I'll never play this game again,
He's not my friend, old Waldo.

He is always hiding in plain sight,
He's average height, our Waldo.
Eve-ry-one has an-o-nym-i-ty,
He's hard to see, that Waldo.
But I thought he had on tennis shoes,
I'm so upset.
Swear I'll never play this game again,
He's not my friend, old Waldo.
Swear I'll never play this game again,
He's not my friend, old Waldo.

Cute stuff! Have you guys ever tried those "Magic Eye" pictures/calendars that were all the rage back in the mid-to-late 90's? I highly recommend them! 5's

Thanks, Johnny! I seem to remember 'Magic Eye' stuff...are they online?

JD, are you kidding? Me sit and work on Where's Waldo? I'd rather watch haircuts or stick my head in the freezer and watch my breath condense.

You betcha, Adagio - free Magic Eye images online, right here for your viewing pleasure:

Guy, I wasn't suggesting that you get off on burning your brainpower searching for Waldo-The-Geeknificent ..... I'm just wondering if you and/or Adagio ever got a chance to try your optical-illusion-puzzle-solving-vision on "Magic Eye" pictures, such as the ones at that URL above. They're NOTHING at all like that Waldo crap - they are really cool exercises for brain-eye coordination....try it !

Thanks for the URL, Johnny! They're neat. Guy, try it!

I did, what are you guys smoking? I've seen these before but can never get the picture.

Guy, I think you are too impatient...it takes a while for the full effect to come into play...then you say...'Gee!!!' (or something like that, depending on your 'language', so to speak.)

I've seen these things ten years ago. Someone had them at work. I sat in front of one for such a really long time that I fell asleep. Never could get that to work for me. And JD. My comments above were made in a truely joking manner. Waldo is like those word search puzzles. They drive me nuts.

Guy...got to fuzz your eyes just right...:D

Guy - I hear ya, I know what you mean vis-a-vis the Waldonator and all that kind of stuff. Adagio's advice is quite right - and I can give you a simple trick to get your eyes to "fuzz" in such a way that the magic-eye image appears for you. Try this: hold up a finger in the air between the magic-eye picture and your eyes, and at first, gaze at your finger, not at the magic-eye picture, making sure you see only 1 image of your finger in crystal-clear focus. Then...what you want to do is keep holding your finger there but let your eyes' focus change so that you are now focusing on what's beyond your finger, and you'll see a double-image of your finger appear as you do this. Now do this whole exercise again, but don't use a finger - replace the finger with the magic eye picture itself - first gaze at it close-up and hard so that you see 1 image of it in sharp focus, then relax your eyes as if you are now focusing beyond the magic-eye picture, and let the shapes and forms inside the magic-eye picture go double the way the image of your finger did. Now just keep adjusting your distance to the picture, and the focus of your eyes, until the image "magically" appears.

Thanks for explaining, Johnny. I couldn't tell Guy how I got my eyes to do such weird stuff besides telling him to pretend that he is looking thru a pane of glass.

Hey, I actually saw it this morning. Not real clear but I got the idea. I guess I didn't really realize that it was 3D.

Wasn't "Where's Waldo?" a rip off of "Where's Wally?" that appeared on "The Simpsons", like, ten years ago or something??????
