The Lyrics

There Was A Time;
I Got A Sony Playstation;
I Wanted To;
Make Money For The Malls;
And I Worked Hard For The Money;
And Went To The Video Game Stores;
In The Mall;
And There Is One Store;
That I Was In Love With All The Time;
Toys "R" Us;
I Wanted To Buy Playstation Games There As Well;
Toys "R" Us;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;
I Do All My Chores;
And Keep My Room Clean;
And Worked At All My School Jobs;
Earned My Cash;
And Brought It Al Home;
And Put It All In My Wallet;
And There Is One Store;
That I Was In Love With All The Time;
Toys "R" Us;
I Wanted To Buy Playstation Games There As Well;
Toys "R" Us;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;

(Instrumental break)

And There Is One Store;
That I Was In Love With All The Time;
Toys "R" Us;
I Wanted To Buy Playstation Games There As Well;
Toys "R" Us;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;

And There Is One Store;
That I Was In Love With All The Time;
Toys "R" Us;
I Wanted To Buy Playstation Games There As Well;
Toys "R" Us;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed;
Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed, Oh Yes Indeed

Back in my youth I took a seasonal job with TRU for some extra holiday cash and it was fun. I worked ticket desk for big ticket items like bikes, strollers, kids furniture, but had fun with the kids and adults looking for (at the time) Transformers, Cabbage Patch dolls, GI Joe, and back in a time when there was a whole section on toy guns and war weapons!!! Back then there were no PlayStation units and games, electronics section, nor DVD section. TRU is now much more advanced and the toys are incredible, but the innocence is lost. Xmas at TRU is nothing compared to Black Friday madness and corporate greed. Kids really don't know how to be kids anymore, especially when adults let 2 year olds play with cell phones. Star Wars EP. VII will hopefully work the magic again but it's a lot tougher 38 years later from the first film of 1977.
