Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Take a chance, strike a stance
Have need for fun in my life
Ooh ditched those pearls, scotched that scene
Dig it! The dancing Queen!

Lonely night and I’m tired of throne
Phil’s gone out, left me all alone
Palace may see the charleston, hip-hop or the swing
Maybe a highland fling

Mashed potato-ing on the sly
Disco ball glitters from a-high
Jitterbug’s what I’m doing, macarena time
Tango exudes romance
Cha cha infects my pants…

I am the dancing Queen, eighty-two (acting seventeen)

Dancing Queen, feel the heat from my time warp scene, oh yeah
Limbo dance and slam dance
Causes chi-ro-prac-tic strife
Ooh twist unfurls, funk’s the scene
Dig it! The dancing Queen!

Sure, watusi, it turns me on
Lindy, learning till break of dawn
Looking hot when I foxtrot, swim is fun to do
Sure love that moon-walk prance
Have yen for belly dance…

True, she’s the dancing Queen, monarchy has become routine
Dancing Queen, head of state gyrates like a teen, oh yeah
Boogaloo! Q E 2
Hustles and rumbas alright
Ooh see her whirl, crotch-grabs keen
Dig it! The dancing Queen!

Dig it! The dancing Queen!

Dancing and a parody by M&P? How could I resist? You set quite a scene with your 'chi-ro-prac-tic strife', crotch- grab and many other funny lines. 5's of course...:)

I thought the late Princess Margaret was the club-hopper. Then again, what bouncer would deny the Queen entry? At least she'd never have to say, "Do you know who I am?"

I am so appalled - she should "queen" up her act. Great visuals you two and Merry - watch this week. I will submit a parody that you requested of me back in November. Oh yeah, this has a very crowning touch to it. But you both know that you should have respect and not "crown" around with royalty. For shame and 5s.

I would love to see an animated music video to this especially the part with the Queen dressed up as Frank-N-Furter and doing the Time Warp. It would be priceless!!!

This is exactly what I imagine the Queen does when she's by herself.

Artistry Contest could have used more M&P appearances these past couple years. You come and go like karma chameleons! Good to see you here, and contributing a good 'un.

So now we know who taught Michael Jackson his moves. Nice peek into the secret life of royalty.

(Artistry) So this is what the Queen is up to when she isn't parachuting into the Olympics. Seems legit. Fantastic parody here, really tickles my "parodies-that-twist-the-title-to-mean-something-else" bone. Wherever that is. 555!
