The Lyrics

Dedicated to Royce – we miss you and wish you Godspeed. One day soon your tribulations will pass and you will have grown from your experience. This author prays for the day that a healed and improved Royce returns to our fold with your quirky style of writing that so pleases us authors and readers. Amiright is less of what it can be with your absence. Your absence is noted and with faith and time I am sure that you will come around again. Until then concentrate on Royce. We love you and miss you.

Loss'll cheat ya, hell's come along,
So engrained with time once barrowed.
Cold-old-old as ice you feel to your bones own marrow.
Was it fate that brought you to this?
As all logic so much defies it,
Why-oh-my can't be and at first we so deny it.

Loss'll cheat ya, pain is acute,
You're a soldier, hurt but not bygone,
He-e-e does mend, the only One you must rely on.
There is always cure through His help.
Now you're sitting broken and fettered,
Why-y-y hope seems so snatched away forever?

Loss'll cheat ya, this is quite so,
As your heart aches numb and you feel woe as your life its thieving.
As the crashing so up-ends, can this pain we mend?
Is it what's your mind's believing?
Loss'll beat ya, slowly you die,
But the Son is still way on high and pining to love you.
Let the woe not bring on more of the "lion's" roar,
Bring a new dawn, quick to reach ya.
Cry no more, reach and pull the door,
Bid adieu gone, seek the Teacher.

In the dark we stumble around,
At your feet He lights with candle.
Call-all-alled upon, never more than we can handle.
Let it reach ya, all of His truth,
There's just one way and you must buy it.
Why-y-y things can go oh so bad, so twi-lit?

He will keep ya, this much I know,
As the heart breaks some blame Him so, but He's far from leaving.
Though you're antsy, tense you'll mend, you'll feel sane again,
In your quest with time ends grieving.
Put beneath ya, do or die's why,
Got the Son so heals from on high, so shining He loves you,
Peace He'll bring to you once more, better than before.
Praise Him in song, most wise Teacher,
Heretofore and forever more,
As His new song helps to teach ya.
Never more, will let satan score,
Brings faith true strong, it can't beat-cha.
Fly and soar, with the eagle's corps,
As you reign down on the leeches.

Guy, when you took your sabbatical, it left a big hole at AmIRight. When Royce began her sabbatical, it left another huge hole. When you returned, you helped re-energize the site. I hope that this song, a little time, and (as this song so poetically and astutely depicts) a little faith in the Teacher help to re-energize Royce.

Jason - I am just trying to lift a spirit here. Your comment and acknowlegement means much - thanks.

Alvin - I realy miss my daily read of Royce. I am so fond of her quirky sense of humor. Thanks, buddy.

Pip - You and me both. Thanks for your encouragement.

John - You only missed me because I LEFT you holding the RIGHT. =;-) Thanks old buddy for the fine sentiment. Amiright will be Amirighter the day that she again graces these pages with her humor and wit.

Royce - we all miss you and we all pray however we do that, to see that you are restored and healthy no matter what you decide to do in the future. We are sure that whatever that is you will do it well. God Bless you my pal of the pen.

Guy, thanks for your parody. And thank you, Alvin, Pip, John--I had a terrible personal tragedy in 2007 and always enjoyed Amiright, but have had to concentrate on other things for a long time now. Some of the best friends I have had during this, have been from Amiright.

Royce - This ones for you and you have earned some recognition on this site for your contributions. Your faith and your robust inner strength will prevail. Remember it is always darkest just before the dawn, so the darker it becomes, the closer to the light you get.

The priority is to see you well again. Resuming your parody writing would be the icing on the cake. First things first, always.
