Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

If you're on hold long enough to write an entire parody, that says less about your ability and more about the doofus on the other side of the call.
(instrumental opening)

I've been on hold for about an hour!
And now my time comes tumbling down!
I've been on hold for about an hour!
And I hear their on-hold-tone sound!
I'm gonna sit with that recording
while all this time they're hoarding
for about an hour!
Oh, yes, I am!

One more thing I'll have time to say...

I'll be on hold 'til the stars come out
and very heavy will be my eyes!
I've been on hold for about an hour!
'Cause I need to talk to those guys!
They're the only guys I know
who could really help me so!
But it's been an hour!
Aw, yeah!
And it's been an hour!

Yeah!
Oy vey!
Pick up the phone now!

(instrumental break)

I've been on hold for about an hour!
And now my time comes tumbling down!
I've been on hold for about an hour!
And I need, now, just one time
to talk to those guys!
Oh, yeah!
Pick your phone up, guys!
Nobody around, baby?
Pick your phone up, guys!
Oy vey!

Jason? There's no Jason Pacholek. There's a Bernard... (Not really, I just made the character up as my "evil twin.")

Michael, did you notice the apostrophe in my last comment? Never mind, Jason Pacholek still sounds pretty cool IMHO!

Sorry, Jason. This is what happens when I don't pay attention. Actually, "Jason Pacholek" does sound like a good Polish-American name, although there would be all the stupid "Friday the 13th" jokes. Kristof: You really think I would have "Greensleeves" as my muzak? Puh-lease. For all the royalties I'm paying Gordon Lightfoot, he should throw in "The Wreck" as onhold music.
