The Lyrics

Imagine almost everyone knows "Danke" means thanks, or thank you, in German. Need two syllables, so in this parody it means, "Thank You"
Danke Wayne, so long, danke Wayne,
Time to ride..on that outbound train
So, it goes, hey pal, destiny..Pa Time won't be beat
Take a seat, rest your feet, buy a street..

Danke Wayne, bow out, danke Wayne
Burn the ties, sing one last refrain
Lock the hall, Frank's ratpack, recall
Days of Mister Las..Vegas was..lost in Oz,
Lived it all.

Danke Wayne, scoot time, danke Wayne
Stayed too long..down on mem'ry lane
Tuck away..teeth and black toupee
Before face falls off, from a cough, leave the trough
Take it soft.

Danke Wayne, stage exit, danke Wayne
Sun was young, now old clouds remain
Had a time, "Dancing With The Stars"
Closed a lot of bars, Limo'd cars, sang on Mars,
Danke Wayne..

Danke Wayne, beat that hook, danke Wayne
Pull the curtain closed..no more songs remain
Ride your ranch..horseback, take it slow,
Do a country show..there you go..Branson, Mo.
Danke Wayne,

Danke Wayne..box your gold chain, danke Wayne

Pete - Good job. To Wayne Newton - the first and scariest of the "Sopranos"! ;D

It's never good to become a parody of oneself. This parody was excellent! Pertinent, perfectly paced and funny, yet not mean. Not an easy trick to pull off. 555
