Parody Song Title:

"Ruebens"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Rueben is my pal; it’s also food;
I like that sandwich and like that dude.

Sometimes when we go to supper together,
I’ll have this sandwich with gustation pleasure.
I will also have an iced tea, and so will
Rueben…tea, but not the sandwich too…
gives him a cannibalistic view.

Sees it transubstantiationally;
it troubles him, as raised Catholic was he.
As if he’s host and himself has to eat. So
Ruebens will not be on his menu,
here in this gustation venue.
No host, no, no!

I can understand why he feels this way;
he’s not inclined to have a self-buffet.
As from the restaurant we stroll away…
sidles up next to me; I’m punctured dentally

Rueben’s never seen in afternoons
but goes out and roams beneath the moon.
Gore-choked his throat.

Rueben: chug-chum bloodlust,
ruby gushes, too much!
