Parody Song Title:

"Midsize Rambler"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

can you hear my lousy midsize rambler ?
tranny is about to go
and the rear is shot on my nash rambler
you cannot shut the driver's door
you can't use the horn for a warning
messed up is the clutch and choke
the hood is caked with rust and deformin'
the radio and clock are broke

talkin' 'bout my midsize rambler
the one i've never cleaned before
squawkin' 'bout this ol' nash rambler
do i have to jump this heap once more ?
slows down in the wind, so sadly
listen to that motor groan
rockin' is my midsize rambler
yeah, somebody call a tow

paint is smeared around my midsize rambler
so ludricrous, it's tuck-and-roll
folks are gawkin' at my ol' nash rambler
yeah, everybody thinks its gross

its pretty hard to steer this midsize rambler
you have to turn it to and fro
no lockin' up this ol' nash rambler
broken windows dictate so

with four tires flat...with four tires flat
with four tires flat...with four tires flat......

have you heard the motor...coughin'
a clot is in the hose
well, knockin' is my midsize rambler
a sound i'd just as soon ignore
i see that brittle ol' fender is danglin'
the pipes are warped and ripped, ya know
lights on the dashboard, red, bright and janglin'
you know i jammed my feet right through the floor

so if you ever see my midsize rambler
comin' down the road pell-mell
just be careful 'round that ol' nash rambler
brakes don't always work so well

i wasn't wishin' for this midsize rambler
thought a ford, the way to go
i'd like to smash up this ol' beat up rambler
put a fist...put a fist right through it's door

its so weird to own a midsize rambler
a bunch of dirty handprints on it's walls
it smells like beer inside my ol' nash rambler
i just don't dig the scent at all

and the paint is scratched on my nash rambler
its writhin' in it's final throes
the shocks are shot upon this rambler
and over potholes, it don't float baby
and it hurts

I was laughing as soon as I saw the title.

I was a Rambler owner in the yay-back...so, I can attest to the validity of this parody...very funny and worthy spoof

Grate work! I too owned an old Rambler and it was the biggest pile that you can imagine, though ironically, a semi-reliable death trap!

yeah I don't mind the large ones and the small ones, but those mid-size ones definitely leave a nasty taste - funny stuff alvin - 555

After my Ford Escort developed fatal engine problems (like your Rambler here), my friend David and I did unthinkable things to it, like kick the doors in, spray paint the entire car (even the windows), etc. I've got Polaroids of it somewhere. You could make a "Midnight Rider" parody of this theme too. 5 factory recalls.

When I was in high school, I was given a 1988 Yugo that had no bumpers and no factory options, so I put custom wheels and a Kraco AM/FM/CD stereo and speakers into it. It was a good little car for a few months, but it rusted, leaked, backfired and fell apart so much that I junked it back in August of 2007 and I bought my dad's pristine orange-and-black over black 1974 Mazda Rotary Engine pickup, replete with CB radio, Learjet AM/FM/8-track, black spoked steel wheels and woodgrain-and-white Gem Top cap (also known in some parts as a canopy). 555, and I know several other Yugo owners, a handful of Daihatsu owners, a Daewoo owner and even a man who owned a Kaiser automobile from 1952 to 1973 who would really love this parody. FYI, a Kaiser is a big, bulbous, low-priced luxury sedan from the 1950s with a very small engine.
