The Lyrics

Many of us have long suspected that the special relationship between Tarzan and the jungle creatures was more than platonic. Unlike the original love song, this version is a "Dear Jane" letter as Tarzan reaches a painful conclusion about himself. ;D

Oh my mate, my woman,
There's something I must say - today - right away.
Although you are fine - for monkeys - and animals I pine.
So leave today!
It's Cheetah who - I want to woo - so toodle-oo - I'll say!

Bestiality - in the tree - is for me,
'Though some folks will yell "Sodomy!"
I crave "monkey-shine" - on the vine - tails entwine.
Ungawa* is my pick-up line!

I won't be forgetting
The time spent in our tree - oh gee - you and me.
I have a new crush - and so I - have "come out of the brush".
Happy I'll be!
You'll hear my roar - the jungle o'er - Cheetah's my whore!
I'm free!

* = Ungawa is a word used in several Tarzan movies, each time with a different meaning ("Elephants - kill the bad guys!", "Monkeys - drop leaves!", and so forth). Perhaps this is the origin of the vulgar slang phrase "spanking the monkey"! ;D

And here I was thinking you meant something like Un-POTTED Melody...! (Not like Tarzan was smoking any of that wacky weed out there... At least, I don't THINK he was.)

The secretary of state was visiting an African country. At each stop the crowds responded to her offers of US friendship and solidarity with cries of "Ungawa-gawa"! Finally, the King took her to a farm to observe local agriculture. As they approached the cattle pen the King warned her, "Be careful not to step in the ungawa-gawa".

Serves you right if you get AIDS - it came to the human population through monkeys and such, you know -- OMG! *YOU"RE" the one who spread it to humans! That's what you get 'cause you cheat-a on me!

If you *really* need a bestial side-piece, any Turtle can tell you that sheep are much safer! 555 to a flock; a different one every day!

(Really prime, Mate! --- can't believe no one else thought of that!)

So, you've Mulled it over, huh? And now you come "crawling" back to good 'ol reliable Jane, huh? ... Well, that *was* a really great pun reply, so ....

Would you like to swing on a vine?
We could make love, be mighty fine .... (sorry, DK rest of "swing on a star" from memory, and it's late)
