Original Song Title:

"Good Lovin'"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Good Music"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

"Now, I hear my generation telling their kids the same things our parents told us: 'That's not music! It's got no melody! We can't understand the lyrics!' Exactly: You're not supposed to understand them." -- Felix Cavaliere, lead singer of the Rascals, who certainly knows what good music sounds like, he sure made plenty of it. This parody is dedicated to Rebecca Black. Kid, you're 13, so you still have time to figure out what good music sounds like and make amends for "Friday." For Justin Bieber, now 16, it may already be too late. (And, yes, Felix sings, "I axed my family doctor just what I had" in the OS.)
Oy, yi, yi!
Good music!

Good music!

Good music!

Good music!

It was soundin'
so bad.
I axed my radio host just what he had.

I said, Hostman!
(Hostman!)
Mister DJ!
(Hostman!)
Can you tell me
why this you play?
(Hostman!)

He said, "Oy, yi, yi, yi, yi!"
(Oy, yi, yi, yi, yi!)

My ears bleed.
All I really need...

(Is good music!)
Now, come on, give me good music!
(Good music!)
All I need is music!
(Good music!)
Give good music, baby!
(Good music!)

Oh, honey, please!
Stop that song!
(Stop that song!)
Don't you know, it's fake and it sounds all wrong!
(It sounds all wrong!)
I said, Baby!
(Baby!)
It's for sure!
(It's for sure!)
You got the Bieber.
He's worse than The Cure!
(Worse than The Cure!)

Everybody, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)

Yes, indeed!
All you really need...

(Is good music!)
Now, come on, give me good music!
(Good music!)
All I need is music!
(Good music!)
Give good music, baby!
(Good music!)

(Mike hears the latest "Lady" Gaga song)

Auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh!

(instrumental break)

(Good music!)
(Good music!)
Come on, gimme that music!
(Good music!)
All I need is music!
(Good music!)
All I want is music!
(Good music!)
Music earlier than '80!
(Good music!)
Maybe a few since then!
(Good music!)
Music! Music!
(Good music!)
Gimme that rock and roll music!

(instrumental close)
I'm only asking for songs that are good. They don't have to be perfect. I'll settle for a few more that are as good as "F**kin' Perfect."

Michael - I actually met Felix, and I consider his quotation dead -on and eloquent. ALL music was new once. That said, generational appeal and standards are also fact. My own test - Will people still be listening in 20-50 years? At one time, The Dave Clark Five (not a bad group) was considered to be the equal or superior of the Beatles. Gasp - what a long-winded way to say Fine Parody and Good Work! ;D

You can't dance as good without music...and it goes good with romance too. Good composition, Michael
