As a fan of the New York Yankees, I make a lot of jokes about the New York Mets, including a few parodies, ranging from "Flushing Pie" and "Flushing Meadow Blues" to "M-E-T-S" and "Rooting For Mets Is Dumb." But this... I can't even say this could ONLY happen to the Mets, because it happened to the Milwaukee Brewers two years ago. But this sort of thing would NEVER happen to the Yankees (unless you count the midge problem in Cleveland two years ago). It looks like this is the first parody of this 1966 Frankie & the Boys classic on Amiright. That's what it took to get this song here: The Mets and Furries. Two truly demented groups of people.

I have been away from amiright for a while, but came back yesterday with 3 new parodies. Please go check them out and let me know what you think. During the time I have been away I have become an honest to goodness songwriter in collaboration with a singer/songwriter of over 30 years experience. I write the lyrics, he does the rest. If you get a chance, please follow the link to his music page. Look for any song that has the pen name of Renee Hartman beside it.
