Speaking of The Doors, Dan Rather walked out one of them last night. He's the guy who gave CBS a black "eye". Maybe now the CBS eye can get back to the left side of normal. And I am sure that Texans are quite happy that he doesn't live in their state.

Jim Morrison would have loved Guy's comment, because "I am interested in... especially activity which seems to have no meaning." Strange, I used to hate Dan Rather, much as I used to hate Ted Turner (but for different reasons). But the more the fanatic right tried to tell us both were part of some mythical dangerous left, the more I came to admire them. Anybody who can piss off Rupert Murdoch (Turner) and Rush Limbaugh (Rather) than much is worthy of the respect of any true American. (And that's got nothing to do with Murdoch being from Australia, a nation good enough to get past the fact that he came from there.)
