The Lyrics

Walk the plank (Walk the plank) blighter... (blighter...)
(blighter...)

Ye scurvy damn man, will ye steal me book?
Y'crooked ne'er do right, will ye take me hook?
Face-down now, grovel, cry in damn-shamed fear,
No more need to swab, Neptune wants to see ya - walk the plank, blighter

Walk the plank blighter!

Yer a dirty whore, ye are a dirty man,
And yer stealing life I'll no longer stand!
Yer done now working on me rail 'n sail,
So get ready swab, Neptune wants to see ya - walk the plank, blighter

Walk the plank blighter!

Walk the plank (Walk the plank) blighter... (blighter...)
(blighter...)

It's a thousand fathoms, give or take a few,
To the ocean floor, for a thief like you!
Ye can make it longer, if ye swim awhile,
I see sharks around, and they want to eat ya - walk the plank, blighter

Walk the plank blighter!

If they really like ya, they can have some bites,
They could take a million from ye overnight!
There'll be no returning, 'cause yer end is here,
Go on plead and shake, Neptune's gonna see ya - walk the plank, blighter

Walk the plank blighter!

Walk the plank (Walk the plank) blighter... (blighter...)
(blighter...)

Walk the plank, blighter - walk the plank, blighter!
Walk the plank, blighter - walk the plank, blighter!
Walk the plank, blighter - walk the plank, blighter!
Walk the plank, blighter - walk the plank, blighter!

Well, blow me down! Of course, since it's Johnny D, "walk the plank" could mean something else... so could "blow me down"!

Checked out some past treatments after submitting today my own take on the OS and especially enjoyed this one. I thought while reading that it might have been written for a 9/19 submission, but suss from comment dates it didn't necessarily (or quite timely, anyway) target that topically most apropos date. Ah, well, 555 Jolly Rogers backdated to whenever it _was_ submitted/posted, for a delightful parody. :-)
