Original Song Title:

"She Loves You"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Matthias"

Parody Written by:

Tommy Turtle

The Lyrics

Another in the series of "long overdue .... "

Matthias, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Matthias, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Matthias, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Yay!

Most movies, he don't love
'Cause they ain't so good today
It's Bruce he's thinkin' of
Wishin' he could kick that way

Those Redneck Bar fights:
Man, them trailer trash is bad!
If teens love you:   [1]
Jail! But Valley Girls are rad!

Duuuude!

You'll starve to death on plane
"Bad": airfare fare, not "fair"
A "back-seat driver": Pain!
"Watch road and use more care"

A TV Preacher
Scams the crowd with pious talk
Tire screecher:
Cab? Don't ride, Matthias, walk!

Honnnnnnkkkkkk!

Read of him, yeah, right now!
You'll love him, man, and how!!
'Cause this guy's songs are PHAT
Go read them -- you'll be glad!

Bacteria, they ooze
They're ev'rywhere, whole throng
Labor Day; he'll snooze
In hammock all day long
But wife, no lovin'
'Cause she slaved away all day
By the oven
So, tonight he'll get no play!

Wank!

You'll love him, yeah, yeah, yeah
Few 'bove him; no, no, no
And with a mind like that
Songs never will be bad
Got his game down pat
A very funny lad
Tommy tips his hat:
A trib from me-e-e
To Maaaaaatt!

(Woot, woot, woot)
(Props: drops; tops: Ma-att!)

[1] Fave line: "Date's screwed if screw on date". ... A mirror-image line! A wordsmith after my own reptilian heart!

I LOVED THIS ONE TOMMY! Obviously the best you have ever done because it's about me. Just kidding but this one was fantastic! I saw you like a lot of my 60s parodies and especially a lot of my early work from this parody except for my crummy movies parody I released a couple weeks ago. So I'll guess I'll try to write more 60s songs since those seem to be your favorite. Anyways, Thank you very much Tommy and I swear I'll stop bugging you now. lol

A well-deserved nod and an amazing effort--the skill with which the links are worked into the lyrics.

Who 1-bombed a parody about me? I feel offended!
Shaggy - September 14, 2010 - Report this comment
It wasn't me.

Matthias: You're quite welcome, but please don't alter your writing to suit me or any other reader -- continue to write what *you* want to, because that's when we all do our best. Besides, you've already received your trib, and the general rule is "One to a customer" ;-D (not counting group tribs). So if you *are* going to pander, might as well be to another writer - J/K!!!!
The song selection *was* mostly where I KTOS, because it's so much easier to appreciate them and to encapsulate them, but one other consideration was choosing mostly the ones with relatively fewer hits (despite being good), on the grounds that the heavy-hitters don't need the plugs. :) Thanks for v/c! :) :) :)

TJC TJC TJC: So, the old cliché, " ... cannot be said too many times that ... " isn't just a cliché? (heh!) Definitely applies here, though! Thanks for v/c/c/c!

Old Man Ribber: If Matthias were a girl, I'd rather take it to the Matt-resses! (in the non-Mob sense, of course!) Thanks for v/c.

John Barry: C'est mon metier, non? (You've seen TT's other tribs to individuals that use said technique, so no cheap plugs here -- besides, this is Matthias' day in the spotlight.) Thanks for v and very kind c.

Mark Scotti: Thanks, and you seem to have missed your *own* plug in this recent group tribute:
http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/gilbertsullivan119.shtml
Thanks for v/c!!

Matthias The Sequel: I wouldn't feel too offended, if I were you. All, or nearly all, of my posts for the past few weeks have been one-bombed, so I'm sure it was not aimed at you, but at me. Ask me if I care.
If it weren't for that fact, I'd say it's someone resentful of seeing another writer tribbed (maybe they didn't get one -- yet -- it's amazing how petty some people can be), but it's routine, and therefore, meaningless -- other than upping the page hits, mwahaha! :)

Shaggy: Thanks for letting us know that, but who are *you*? No one in the Author list with that name, and haven't seen it in comments. Guess you must be someone who knows Matthias -- and, uh, we're all curious why you felt compelled to deny it? ;) Thanks for that statement, though!

I think I like the opening the best... I see a long sideline shot of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders there for the upcoming music video... ;)

Very good tribute to one of my favorite AmIRighters, and the perfect OS for it. 5s.

TT: Here are some OS suggestions if you were ever to do one on me: "Alison" by Elvis Costello, or "Africa" by Toto. My name paces to those titles, as do many other words and phrases.

Great tribute to Matthias! Great parody artist and friend to us all! I also enjoyed most of his work as well and enjoyed participating the those same parody contests as well. 555.

Fiddlegirl: That image is somehow appealing.... but don't forget the close-ups! ;) ... thanks for v/c!

Andria: Sounds like you've got enough material to write it yourself -- go for it! ;) .. Thanks for v/c, and it's very kind of you to offer to help TT find words that pace to other words -- really -- but somehow, I seem to have come up with them myself for the past five years -- just lucky, I guess. :)

Christie Marie M: Thanks as always!!!

SamuraiMaster: Hope you enjoyed your visit to Japan, and you can swing that sword at *all* UBs, IMHO. Thanks for v.c.
