I happened to notice that the name of one of USC's most promising players - Barkley - is in the original song. The name Hickory was a nickname for one of America's most notable presidents - Andrew Jackson.

Nice job on a fun lilt. Must give 5s tho' the very mention of USC gives me hives. (Actually, I hardly give a rat's arse about college or any football, but a Facebook friend is a USC fanatic who has all season been flooding my news page with daily rants & raves per USC's weekly fate. I may yet have to hide her before season's end.)

Thanks, Stan. I don't take it that seriously, but I'm a Trojan fan. Anyone who never misses the Super Bowl will note that whatever team makes it there has at least one player who is a USC graduate. By the way, I meant 20 yardline and 10 yardline. It seems like 80 and 90 from that perspective.
