Song Parodies -> "When Palin Came"

Original Song Title:

"Penny Lane"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"When Palin Came"

Parody Written by:

Malcolm Higgins

The Lyrics

when Palin came the democrats went quickly after her
because a woman with a brain is really bad..
makes the lefty women look so sad..
but the right is glad..

in her speech she told the press to go away from her
and she could care less if they ever came right back..
put them in their place and kicked their sack..
what a leftist pain.. very strange..

Palin came, she made the right stand up and rise
now beneath those blue and righteous skies
religion has come back

when Palin came she brought e daughter with a little past
and in her heart beat you could see she's be the queen
no dirty secrets as she came out clean
where's obama been?

Palin came, she made the right stand up and rise
now beneath those blue and righteous skies
religion has come back

Obama's altar and the stage he built, magnificent
and people looked upon the chosen one as he..
and he lied to them totally
he's a efty , see?

Palin came, the right has got a customer
who takes the press and always puts them in their place.
below her pumps with puddles in their face
'cause they're a damn disgrace.

Palin came, she made the right stand up and rise
now beneath those blue and righteous skies
religion has come back

Palin came, she made the right stand up and rise
now beneath those blue and righteous skies
Palin Came..

Palin is a mom with all the baggage that people can commiserrate with. McCain didn't have as much of a chance until he picked her.
Anti-Palin - September 09, 2008 - Report this comment
Yes, she is just another mom with baggage. . .blah blah blah. . .it doesn't matter that she supports censorship, it doesn't matter that she uses her political power to pressure other people to fire people who she has no authority over, it doesn't matter that shes doesn't care if having a child could kill the mother (even if the mother has other children to care for) that mother had best have it under Palin-because she is against abortion EVEN IN THOSE EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES. Palin, like the extreme right Malcom supports is out of touch with reality, It's sad half the country supports blind hatred, that's what Palin/McCain and the anti-gay, anti-difference, anti-poor ticket supports!

i'm glad that i view this sight as an artistic sight of open minded people looking at the talent and effort and heart of the composer, rather than a sight where some may need a support group for thier political views. i dont write. i enjoy all of you for giving me joy through your visions and talents. this cat malcolm is one of you. an army who shoots thier wounded. as a non writer, i gotta wonder why similar cats shoot each other, or i should pin point it by saying AT HIM ? you are a small special group. we, the non visionaries and non writers, the common cats, wanna see this sight as a freedom, not a pissing pool. if you dont think more of your gift and talents than to waste them pissing here on different political views than yours, people looking daily for water would love to be you, or me... we got it good. keep this sight free to all to contribute. besides, if his one vote and opinion can change the world, how much more can the whole of you much more change things. this guy isnt a threat, unless you have nothing within... you all are fine, you all bear your hearts naked in front of the world. you are all special, leave him alone and act like who you want to be.. if the energy put out by some of you went out to promote yourself, probably 20 % of you would be getting paid and treated great for writing commercials, songs, movies, sales pitches. or, continue to waste your time shooting your own wounded. doesnt seem like some of you are trying to promote and improve your special talents and "industry". and as i replied on one of his other parodies, where he got crucified, i'll repeat; this cat is above the game, he's the real deal, an artst, he doesnt need to defend himself. just a non writesr observation

Anti-Palin / 2Eagle - is this a forum for politics or should you be kicked off for that?
Anti-Palin - September 17, 2008 - Report this comment
Rob-Everyone has their own opinion of art, I consider most parodies to fit that description, however distortion and solicitation is hardly art. I'll give respect where respect is due. I am entitled to my opinion on the matter at hand.

Questioning One: I have a right to question a statement's honesty, especially when it comes to politicians. I did not threaten Malcom and my comment was not a personal post to Malcom, it was related to the parody. If I posted a parody about Poop somebody would no doubt post a negative comment back to me. That does NOT qualify to be kicked off, you do not have to agree with a parodist, you can not personally attack another parodist and you can't threaten, neither of which I did.

I think it's hilarious that we have all the new critics .. all of whom are no doubt writers here without the nuts to put their names to their comments. I won't hunt you down. I don't care. I write what I want, and you can say what you want just have the balls to stand up and ADMIT WHO YOU ARE when you make comments. this is a free country, and so is America. So is Kenya, for that matter.. they allowed Obama to emigrate and run for president. As for politics, I think he is a new guy with big ideas and no way tohave them come to fruition. Typical democrat. dreamer and schemer. for a guy who had his credit cards turned down in 1996 and is now a multi millionnaire from his work IN THE BUSH YEARS, he's pretty demanding of change. He has his, now he wants YOURS. I hope Mccain and Palin win, but a balanced house and senate keep them in check. good for everyone I think. there I said it, and I do not hide behind "new " pseudonyms. lets see who the real commenters are. I won't hate you. all's fair in love and parodies. that's why in contrast to will tong, and LIKE john Barry, (I am sure we'd be best friends in ten minutes over a beer) we ALLOW comments for intelligent dialogue. The songs are fun makers and statements nothing more. We'll all live through the next 8 years no matter who gets in. ttfn

As I've said with Linda Tehrune, fanatics scare me-when people post stuff like this I'm scared of physical harm, self preservation is important to me. Call it as you wish, but when people write stuff in the nature you have the past three days or so--I'm scared of people like that--McCain hates everything I live for (gay, pro-choice in cases where mother could die, and I believe strongly in global warming and the theory of evolution) I'm sorry if I offend you by saying this--but you scare me-your lyrics scare me because they are largely distorted or inaccurate and not factually backed up.

Lord HiGGUNs, don't be so serious, Sir ! As you say, all is fair in Love & Parody ! Even our idenity . . . eh, CanBoots?
McKludge - September 17, 2008 - Report this comment
I had no idea the misinformation campaign had crossed the border into Canada, Malcolm (I checked your bio). Obama was born in Hawaii, not Kenya. The US Constitution says that you must be BORN in the US to run for president, not just be a citizen, so your "Obama emigrated from Kenya" statement doesn't hold up to logic. His father, on the other hand, was of Kenyan descent, and his name was Barack Obama, Sr, so maybe you're confusing the father and the son. He's a professed Christian, not a Muslim (although so what if he was Muslim). And even if he did have his credit cards turned down in 1996, who the f**k cares? Lastly, just because a person raised his income doesn't mean Bush was responsible for it. Hell, my income went up close to 40% during the last 8 years, but it wasn't because of Bush.

But The Questioning One is right. This is not a political forum, but politics won't get you kicked off the site. It takes overt threats, generally asinine behavior, or plagiarism to get the boot.

I believe the reason William Tong doesn't allow comments is for the very reason why there are so many political comments on this and many, many other politically-themed parodies that take up so much time, emotion and bandwidth. Such as the case with your current spate of work, Malcolm. I'd appreciate your art more if it weren't so filled with outright inaccuracies and myths that only fuel the fire of other people who actually believe everything they see on the Internet.

A woman with a brain is really bad? John McCain would've found out, but Hillary didn't win the nomination. Now, he'll never know.
